For those who purchased the TSV, what are your thoughts?

I received mine yesterday and tried it for the first time today.  So far, it's made a good first impression.  I like it better than the Bye Bye Undereye I've been wearing.

I bought the TSV since I had heard great reviews of this concealer. My main concern is covering acne whether new monthly pop ups or older spots that are fading but not yet gone. I've been playing with it since the box was delivered. The 1 good thing is I appear to have picked a good color match for me. However, so far, I'm not impressed with the coverage. I definitely don't get the look they kept showing on their demonstrations without using just a ton of product each application. I've not had to use that much of different brands to get decent coverage so I'm a bit underwhelmed.

Also, how do you keep the sponge clean? After 1 use, the sponge is dirty. Does everyone wash it after each use? I'm used to applying other liquid concealers with just my clean fingers.

@FindingMyJoy , I clean any of my sponges after each use.  I use a little soap and water.  I apply my liquid foundation with a large sponge and clean every evening.  Some people clean once a week, some once a month.

Are you using the sponge damp or dry when you apply?  If you have better luck with applying concealer with your fingers than a sponge, I would try it that way.  I'm one that didn't like this concealer applied with anything other than a damp sponge but you may feel differently.  Also,  you may want to try applying with a brush and see if you like that.

So far I really like this concealer and highlighter .Was not sure since I heard it was heavy duty and I am older (almost 75).  To start with, this is huge, it looks like a bottle of liquid makeup!  So I have been using it as such and it is as good as any high end makeup.  You don't have to use much and I apply with sponge.  The color is also perfect (light medium neutral).  The highlighter is a pretty one too, looks natural.  So far, I'm impressed!

I'm one of the people who doesn't care for Shape Tape at all.  I bought it a couple of years ago. The one thing I found with it is it MUST be applied using a damp sponge.  I really, really hated it using a brush or fingers.

But for my dark circles, I think the Too Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer is much better and my new love is ELF camo concealer. That stuff is the bomb.  When I'm done with my Too Faced, I will be using the ELF concealer exclusively.

@Lipstickdiva   Thanks for your post.  I was actually planning to find a good concealer today at Dillard's, but now that I see this, I can grab it at Target.  You just saved me some money, thanks!!  I'm always on the hunt for a good concealer.

@BarbiHollywood , ELF makes a 16 hr  camo concealer and they also make a hydrating camo concealer.  I have only tried the 16 hr. one but I've hard good things about the hydrating one as well.  I plan on trying that next.

@BarbiHollywood  Tarte is what is referred to as "a prestige" cosmetic line.  Not carried in a Target, at least not here in New York.

I purchased this TSV and like the product but need to exchange for a different shade - waiting for restocking of the original almost 30 shades offered with the TSV all of which rapidly sold out.

@fitfuninformed , I believe she is referring to the ELF product I mentioned, not the Tarte Shape Tape.

@Lipstickdiva Thank you for your response. Yes, I am using the sponge damp. I'm going to give it a couple more times trying it different ways to see if it works. If not, it will be returned. I'm not willing to spend a ton of time to get something to work if I know other concealers can work better and easier to apply. The ELF recommendation is interesting and I may check it out. Always nice to find something you can buy locally.
