The new foundation they just showed(Fri March 12 11:45ish)...Tape (something) powder foundation. Says it is new, but in general, is Tarte a yellow base foundation maker?

It is so hard to tell on a TV screen.

Anyone use Tarte?

Tarte has some nice foundations, however, the problem is their shades.  I ordered a BB treatment in Light.  Is was orange in the tube.  Who can wear that?  They really need help with their shades.

@gabstoomuch   Unfortunately, when many foundations are listed Light, Medium, etc., they tend to be yellow toned to suit more people. I prefer foundations, BBs & CCs that have actual names like Vanilla, Porcelain, etc. with exact descriptions. There is a movement to get cosmetic companies to be more unified in foundation names/shades...listing them also as cool, warm and neutral ...MAC and a few others have done this for years. I learned 30 years ago, if you get the foundation shade to be a good match, blush, eyes, lips are all a piece a cake. Get it wrong and everything else looks off.

My advice if you're going to buy Tarte, buy it elsewhere not on QVC.  They carry a small subset of their shade range making it harder to get a correct match.  I have made that mistake and will never buy from QVC again.  Tarte website is your best bet.

Fell for the hype, again!!!!

I really like the TARTE SHAPE TAPE concealer and have used it for over 1 year. So, I ordered  the TARTE SHAPE PRESSED POWDER w/ brush set.  What a mistake!

1.) Color is way off-- ( my coloring is like model Sheila + also have spots like hers). Ordered  TAN SAND and it looks orange on my skin.  Checked the TARTE website and Tan Sand looks yellow on their model.

2.) Reviewed ingredients list; first 2 items are TALC and MICA and other ingredients found on lighter fluid container. The brush in the kit is great and worth purchasing. However, the foundation/powder application is thick and clay-like. I Gave it a chance based on review of  "Shawnie's" video. 1 hour later, BREAK OUT of  zit!!! I am 64 years old and sans zits for many years!!!!!!

Returning and will not order foundation from Beauty category.
