Tacha, Tula, or Obaji for Rosacea & Sensitivity???

I have very sensitive skin with rosacea. Can anyone give me guidance on good brands for skin like mine? I'm looking at Tacha, Tula, and Obaji. I'm not sure why, but I seem to do well with Japanese brands when it comes to cleanser and sunscreen. I do see a dermatologist, but don't care to be on all of those antibiotics/medicines. I appreciate any feedback.

I have rosacea and my skin is finally calming. I do not use any skincare brand that contains fragrance. I use cerave cleanser, Peter Thomas Roth squalene, Paulas Choice 2% BHA liquid (2 times a week), argan oil and CotZ Flawless Complexion SPF. I use joboba oil to remove SPF and makeup. I follow with my cleanser at night. I have found that only washing my face at night has really helped with the redness.

I have mild rosacea & do not have luck with any product that says "sensitive" it flares my skin. I use very little. I gave away my Clarisonic, stopped using Purity also. I have great success with Goat milk stuff bar soap- Castille soap for my face, unscented. Also use Skinactives (online) coral nutrient serum for summer & canvas cream with jojoba for winter
inexpensive products that calm my face
I also use cold pressed jojoba oil for mascara removal
I heard good things about Obaji but this works for me
I use Jane Iredale loose powder when I need makeup

Re: Tacha, Tula, or Obaji for Rosacea & Sensitivity???

I have subtype 2 rosacea that can flare easily.

I am using Tatcha's oil cleanser and the indigo blue cleansing powder. For me this line is hit or miss but these 2 products have been just fine for me. I'll introduce the overnight serum later this year w/colder weather; right now I'm using Perricone and my skin loves it.

Introduce only 1 new product at a time for about a week so if you have a reaction you can ID the culprit product easily.

Tatcha new water based moisturizer is supposed to be mild but I haven't tried it.

Re: Tacha, Tula, or Obaji for Rosacea & Sensitivity???

I really like the La Roche Posay Toleraine line.  Check it out at CVS or Target.  There are very few ingredients.  The moisturizers are made up of mostly glycerin, squalane and shea butter. These are great ingredients for moisture retention.  I take my makeup off with albolene. My redness is gone and my skin is much less sensitive.  All of the anti aging ingredients that I was previosly using, really stripped my skin of its natural barrier.  I got redness and acne. Appeared like rosacea. That is gone now.  I will introduce my .025% retin a cream in about another month or so.  Just giving my skin a chance to repair.  I will then use my retin a 1x per week and slowly work up to 2x per week.  I also like the La Roche Posay Anthelios spf 50 tinted titanium dioxide sunscreen.  My antiaging skin care is not only spf 50 and retin a.  No other exfoliants or serums.  Just the LRP Toleraine moisuturzer.

I have moderate rosacea and sensitivity. For me, Tatcha destroyed my skin. I havent tried the other lines but my  derm sells obaji and loves it. It took about two years to heal my skin and i now use castille soap, natural oils from shea terra and cerave. Skin has never looked better in the past 5 years. It is such a personal journey with rosacea-i tried lots of things that worked great for others-this combo just works for me. Good luck!

I have super sensitive skin, and Tatcha did not work for me.  The Cleansing Oil caused so much iriritation and breakouts for my skin.  It took around two months for my skin to get back to "normal."  The Soothing Rice Enzyme Powder for Sensitive Skin, also, caused a lot of irritation for me. (BTW, I didn't try both products at the same time -- I first tried the Cleansing Oil.  I later tried the Enzyme Powder for Sensitive Skin).

This is not a "bash" in any way, as I think Tatcha seems like a great Brand, but the two products I tried just didn't work for my super sensitive skin.

Re: Tacha, Tula, or Obaji for Rosacea & Sensitivity???

I'd skip those lines and go to Paula's Choice. Her Calm line is designed specifically for people with rosacea, redness, and sensitivity.

I don't have rosacea, but I have redness and sensitivity. The Calm line works really well for me and at a reasonable price. I haven't tried Tula or Obaji, but I did have issues with some of the Tatcha products. The oil cleanser was too drying for me (very unexpected from an oil cleanser!) and the rice powder exfoliator caused a reaction that made my chin flakey and red for over a week.

I am not big on the Paula'ss Choice facial cleansers, as even the moisture boost cleanser left my skin feeling stripped, so I use an oil cleanser from another line. I like the Neutrogena oil cleanser and the Clinique oil cleanser.

If you're going to a derm, ask about finacea. It's helped my mild rosacea greatly, seems to have made my skin less sensitive, and it makes my skin look so even toned. I really like it.
