I've been using TT for both cleanses at least once a week for the past few weeks (thank you, BethanyB!). The first cleanse is TT, the second is TT or TT+613.

I noticed today and once before that during the first cleanse, my hair feels different. I would say course, but my hair is course. Wiry maybe. It's definitely not dry or brittle. And it's the strands that feel different, not the clumps of curls, they feel great.

Anyone have a clue what I'm referring to?

I wish I could be of help. I'm guessing maybe the strands themselves are becoming stronger. With the mix of TT and 613 maybe they are strengthening your individual hairs? Not sure. But I'm glad your liking the results. And thank you for the FIG recommendation! I've been using TT first and TT/FIG second and really liking my results! I thought because my hair is fine that FIG would be too heavy but this is working great!

Bethany, I wish I had the words to describe it. I'm liking "stronger hair."

I'm so happy you like Fig! I used TT+Fig for my second cleanse today. My hair is still damp so I don't have the final outcome, but this morning they were clumped quite nicely.

I also have been using the TT with the 613 and I have coarse hair as well but I would think your hair is getting stronger I will have to feel my hair next time after the first wash with the TT to see how my hair feels.

I just ordered the fig to incorporate with the TT for a change since the last time Chaz was on he said the fig is the most moisturizing which I so badly need as well as the TT for my sensitive scalp.

I used TT as my first cleanse, then Fig/SOB for my second today. So far so good!

I agree, maybe it's your hair getting stronger, or new growth from the TT? Or maybe you didn't use enough water when it felt weird and that's why?

@Luv, this feel is something that grabs you; you notice it right away. The only word I have to describe it is "wiry," but that's not in a bad way.

@ginab, the new growth (and there is definitely new growth) is closer to my scalp. These were existing hairs.

I think I noticed it when I added my splash of water.

I'm not sure how old you are, but maybe they're grey hairs that you never noticed? I know I'm touching my hair a lot more during cleansing with wen than I did with regular shampoo & conditioner, maybe you're just feeling the hairs that were already there.

ginab! They feel like gray hairs! They aren't gray, but they have the wiry feel that gray does.

HonnyBrown, had you been using 613 CC before this or is 613 CC a new addition to your routine? I know that over time that the amino acid complexes in 613 and BGT CCs have helped strengthen my hair

bebe, I use 613 once a week since November, which is ideal for my hair. The feel isn't that protein stiffness.

It actually feels like gray hair, but before my strands turn gray they turn red.
