Yes, I wondered about this too. I did order from Amazon and the description states 12 rollers. Could not see spending over $100.00 for rollers.

I saw these on Amazon too (the older set). Does anyone know if the set is legit?

Yes it's legit. The differences are what are mentioned in the above posts--the heat settings and the number of curlers that the base will hold. Otherwise they're the same. I just ordered the short set for $28.
