TRIVIAL, BUT ENJOYED SPA DAY YESTERDAY

Boredom was setting in and as many of us are experiencing increased down time, I decided on a little "self care" (hating that overused phrase). I did my toes...complete pedi ending w/ pale pink polish. Boring, but won't show chips so will last awhile. I put on a deep conditioner on my hair, plastic cap, wrapped up w/ turbie twist, tweezed brows and chin hairs (!!!) and laid back with a moisturizing mask for a half hour. Put on my CD with rain, thunder, flute music...intended for massage. I was asleep immediately. Then came a steam shower, legs/pits shaved (only have to do it every 3 wks. a plus that comes w/ age). Then we put marinated London Broil on the grill w/ sweet potatoes and a big salad. I had my Saturday night Cosmo. I even found sugar free cranberry juice. No carb guilt, but may end up a lush. Never had cocktails before on a regular basis. It's @ECBG's doing. Lol

Good for you.  It sounds like a nice day.  And, to top it off with that great dinner and a Cosmo was  ---  perfect.

@BlueFinch   Don't remember much after the Cosmo. Think we watched a Lifetime movie.

@Shanus, good for you!   Taking a little time while we can is perfectly okay.  I think it helps with staying mentally healthy.   I am keeping myself pretty much on the same routine, yes boredom does set in but I usually can overcome it.   I've actually been eyeing my beautiful big bathtub for a few days now, I do however, need to buy some nice bubble bath!   Then of course, the wine helpsSmiley Happy

@LindaSal   Love my jacuzzi. Take baths at night to help me get sleepy and quick shower in the morning after exercise. Best bubble bath? Good old fashioned "take me away" Calgon. Skin softening, smells good and cheap. I decant into a pretty bottle. I also add a scoop of epsom salt...gets rid of toxins and relaxes muscles.

@Shanus I think since I am old all I do is shave my legs.  What is wrong with me?

My aunt used to laugh about taking her "Saturday Bath"--maybe that's what she was talking about!

@Sooner   I'm kinda old, too. This is just habit for me...add ons when stressed or have extra time. I'll add from age 80-91, my Mom just shaved her legs (let that go too long after Dad passed) & bathed. She had her hair done until just too lazy to go to her weekly appt. Then she got a short wash and wear style she did herself. BUT full makeup...I mean full face (Baby Jane style) until 90.

I've done something similar, minus the pedicure  It felt really good.  I found my Sally Hansen foot soak yesterday, hope to use it later this afternoon.

@GCR18   Pampering is good for the mind, soul and body.
