Hi Beauties.  A few things - I started this thread early as I won't be available until mid/late afternoon.  Second, today is the start of Nordstrom big sale if you are interested.  Did you do any shopping for Beauty?

Acure Organics - Lemongrass & Argan Clarifying shampoo.  Love this shampoo.  Cleans up the build up without sulfates and stops any itching. Left my hair moisturized and not dry. This is definitely a keeper.

Mrs. Meyers - liquid hand wash in Geranium.

Zum bar soap in Betsy which is lavender and lemon scented.

Blum Naturals facial wipes for makeup removal.  Very nice but I still prefer my Petal Fresh in rosemary & lavender.

e.l.f.  lip brush.  You can always use a lip brush especially when the lipstick gets really low.

The only thing I bought this week was some pure squalane oil from Timeless. I was just curious about the oil and I had read many good things about it. So I gave it a try and it's such a lightweight oil that I don't feel or see any difference. I'll probably end up using the rest of it as a makeup remover for around my eyes.

Bought the NARS Mini Orgasm Set —lipstick, lipgloss & blush powder.

The blush we are familiar with & the lipgloss & lipstick are in the Orgasm shade. I would say this is great for travel or a sample try me out set.

Full sized items of all 3 were at the Ulta I visited.

This month is my birthday month & a mini IT Superhero Mascara was the gift. I have so many mini mascaras that I requested the previous quarter’s gift — a mini NARS Orgasm blush powder. Surprisingly, the blush was free for me even when the mascara coupon was used! This blush is the same size as the one in the Mini Orgasm Set.

I bought a Too Faced Natural Matte eyeshadow palette at Winners. It's the old packaging which is why it's showing up at Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, and Winners. I bought one for my daughter back in May at Marshalls in Las Vegas and saw another one at Winners in Canada so I grabbed it. The reviews are good on this palette.

I also bought several Rimmel brow powder wands in dark brown. These are nearly identical to the Covergirl ones as both companies are owned by Coty. The Rimmel shade is a lighter and has redder undertones than the Covergirl rich brown shade which is nearly black in color and it's a better match for my brows so I tossed out the Covergirl brow powder wands. I layer a brow pencil with a brow powder as I have areas of my brows that need filling.

Maybelline and L'Oreal are discontinuing their cushion foundations in Canada and so some stores like Shoppers Drug Mart have put them on clearance. I have tried both before and prefer the Maybelline one so I bought one in Classic Ivory for touchups.

I also bought the Revlon Kiss Plumping lip creme in shade 535 spiced berry. This is a nude shade with a midtone berry color so it's not washed out. I like the shade and the creamy texture.

@TY  I only need a little fill in myself but I found I have to go with the lightest shade because they run so dark (I have med brown brows) and I am loving the e.l.f. brow kit.  I only use the wax on one side and there is also a powder.  $3.  Give me your thoughts on the RImmel one and what it contains.  thanks.

I’m a fan of bare minerals ready eyeshadow formula and saw two palettes at TJM - the bare sensulals and bare naturals. I didn’t really need them but it seems that BM is phasing out the ready eyeshadows so I picked them up - 16.99 each.

I would say that the actual product of the Covergirl brow + liner powder is the same as the Rimmel Brow Shake filling powder. The only difference is the color selection. there's no wax involved in this powder wand. I find that a little goes a long way so it's best to start with less. For my brows I like to use the Covergirl one in the light brown shade for the whole brow and then just go over the part of my brow that is missing hair with the Rimmel deep brown shade. I don't use it on my whole brow as I don't need to. Rimmel does make a brow powder wand in a blonde shade, that isn't something I've seen with Covergirl. The best prices for these has been at Walmart Canada so if you are in the U.S. I would check there for them.

The only negative is that this combo with using a brow pencil first and a brow powder on top isn't waterproof but it gives me a more natural look than just a pencil alone when I use 2 brow powders in different colors. I have used colored brow waxes before like Dalton's and that works nicely too.
