I think they are her real eyelashes, but they put layer over layer of mascara and probably mascara primer so now to me they look fake.  I'm not crazy about  the look - the lashes look spider leggy to me, but some may like it, especially the younger crowd.   She has beautiful eyes and the regular lashes are full and long.

I turn 73 very soon.  There was a time I’d be willing to try something like the eyelash builder; however, I worry if it’s bad for the eyes?

@Annabellethecat66   I would ask your eye Dr.  I Know my eye Dr. don't like a lot of stuff I have asked about.  He don't like the glue that women put on to put fake lashes on.   We only get one set of eyes.  I definitly would ask.

It does not bother my eyes. If it went into your eye, well you would be hurting. Hope this helps @Annabellethecat66. I really would not recommend it for you. Hope your surgery goes well!

Several of the makeup models used some type of product that makes the lashes grow.  When these models put mascara on they actually look hideous.  I mean, do they look in a mirror?  I don't see any of the vendors looking like that so why would they use these models?

I'm not a fan of tarantula lashes. I've noticed several of the news anchors are wearing them now.

I have been using Careprost for the last 6wks now or so and my lashes are growing....not anything crazy looking just filled in a few bald areas where I had no lashes and some longer length.  I still use mascara and they do not look crazy long or like I have false eyelashes on.

I notice that most of the hosts/vendors are all wearing false eyelashes in addition to mascara.  On youtube many of the make demo's are done with this look.  I always wonder if anyone out in real life does it? I never notice it or see anyone looking like that.

I believe some of them are eyelash extensions.

Anyone considering growth serums for lashes/brows: It's a "forever" proposition. Once you stop applying it, the growth and fullness you've achieved stops and lashes can begin to fall out giving you the look you had before.

Lash extensions will pull out/damage your natural lashes. Lash glue, over time, can also damage lashes by clogging the root area where they grow.

I will always recommend tightlining for the look of thicker lashes, lash primer or a bit of setting powder before mascara and not more than 2 coats. To keep lashes intact, try to stay away from waterproof mascaras. It's difficult to remove and the rubbing/tugging will cause lash fallout, not to mention pulling on delicate skin under the eye.

I have noticed that too. Looks like they forgot to take their mascara off at night and just added a few more THICK coats in the morning. DH made me promise my lashes would'nt look like those spider eyes (his nickname for the newslady).

I don’t know about that but....I remember when everyone was buying that “serum that made eyelashes and eyebrows grow”.

I never hear much about that stuff anymore. Maybe that’s how they got that long?  There’s a question mark after the above question because I honestly don’t know two things.

One would be is that stuff still being sold?  Is that why their eyelashes are so long...and/or are th ey. Wearing false eyelashes?

Anybody?  Anybody?

Yes, those serums are still sold and used and I believe all the makeup models on QVC use them. I used one for a while and before I bought one, I viewed a lot of before and after images to help me choose one and they all have a distinctive look that looks exactly the way the models on QVC look.

I used the serum for about 6-8 weeks and wound up giving it up because it made my lower lashes so long I actually had to trim them and my upper lashes so long they started brushing against my glasses.
