Happy Friday Beauties,

Hope you all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. I did not use up anything this week. What did you use up?

Happy Black Friday!  Always a great day to stay home and get out the Christmas decorations.

Gold Bond Neck and Chest - replaced with same.  Of course.

Amara Organics 2.5% Retinol cream - replaced with same.

Avon Dramatic Firming Cream - replaced with same.

CG AquaSmooth compact foundation in ivory - replaced with same.

Borrrrring, since I always use the same products day after day, year after year.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I actually used up a container of handwash liquid soap. It's Honey B and made in Scotland. I buy it at Winners and see it at TJMaxx too. It comes in a behive shaped plastic jar with a pump dispenser. I have one in the shower too. They are about $6 CDN for a 300 ml bottle. It smells like honey and my husband likes it too.

I tossed out some old L'Oreal lip balm chubby crayon lipsticks. They are unscented. Too bad L'Oreal discontinued them.

I also tossed out some blush as the color was too dark.

I also used up a bottle of conditioner - Pantene. I have another in my beauty stash. My hair tends to be coarse and tangles and a lot of this cheap conditioner makes it easier to rince my hair.

I used up:

Jack Black Shea Butter Lip Balm, stole this from my husband! I would buy this again even though I don't like the applicator. One of those slant tip things for a squeeze tube. I much prefer a stick type balm. This stuff works!

L'Oreal Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara, replaced with same from stash.

Covergirl Advance Radiance Pressed Powder, one of my longtime drugstore favs, replaced with same.

L'Oreal Brow Stylist, another favorite, will repurchase but have other pencils to work through.

Tossed:

Two Mally eyeshadows, a quad and a duo. I had hit pan on these awhile back and then noticed I don't use them much anymore. I am reaching for my bigger palettes lately. Beside that, I know they are VERY old!

I used up a 16oz tub of Philosophy Fresh Cream body souffle cream.    Have a few smaller tubs in my stash so will start on one of those.  Have more body lotion/cream/butters than one person should probably have so am going through my stuff.  Its going to take a long time!  LOL

I used up my Pure Grace olive oil and salt scrub.  Now I am ready to break out my Christmas scented body washes- Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Angel and Peppermint Stick.

I had a great Thanksgiving & didn’t use up any makeup either. 

Started to make decisions on what to donate to Project Beauty.

Used up:

Soap & Glory Clean On Me bodywash - I really like this scent.  Nothing to complain about the product.  Replacing with a Korres Apple Blossom bodywash but I would repurchase this in the future.

Renova - I'm desperately pressing the pump and a tiny amount comes out every 5 pumps, but I think it's empty.  I'm going to hold off on repurchasing this and see if Differin works just as well.  It's over the counter and SO much cheaper.

Paula's Choice Resist 2% BHA - I only use this when I have a hormonal breakout, but recently my kids have been getting more use out of it.  Replaced with the Skin Perfecting version of 2% BHA which gives 1 oz more for less $$.

I used up:

-a Cotz sunscreen sample.  I'm glad I had the sample, because I'd considered buying it...and I don't like it.  It feels like a makeup primer but doesn't perform like one.  Made my makeup look bad.

-an Avon Skin So Soft body wash.  Used to be called Signature Silk, I think, but they changed the name.  I love the scent.  Not sure if I would repurchase, as I'm trying to avoid ordering more stuff from Avon.  And I still have plenty of Avon in my stash.

-an Alba Botanica plumeria shampoo.  This was okay.  Kind of watery.  Not sure if I would repurchase.  I mostly used it as body wash.

I tossed:

-an Avon Clearskin blemish treatment.  It was a BHA gel I was going to use on my nose, but it's clumpy at this point anyway, and I can tell by the smell that there's a lot of alcohol in it.  So I just tossed it. 

-a Maybelline eyeshadow pencil in a pretty lilac color (smelled like old lipstick) and an Avon Big Color eyeshadow pencil in shade "Celadon."  That green pencil really brought out the redness in my eyes, so no thanks.

-a Max Factor (yes, Max Factor) lip stain and gloss duo.  I kept this for a long time, not to use, but to look for a shade like it.  I never have found a dupe, and I'm tired of keeping something I don't use just so I can compare it to other things with no success.

So quite a few little things left my house this week.  Feels good.  On to the next thing.
