Re: TGIF Beauities! What Did You Use Up This Week 8/11?

Used up:

BeautyCounter Nourishing Cream Exfoliator - This was part of the collab with Target.  I didn't notice it doing anything worth the price I paid for it.  Not a repurchase for me.

Tossed:

Inglot single eye shadows - This is a very nice product but mine were old and getting chalky.  I would definitely repurchase this in the future.

Re: TGIF Beauities! What Did You Use Up This Week 8/11?

Only one item for me this week:

Andalou Naturals Ultra Sheer Daily Defense moisturizer SPF 18 2.7oz- I was looking for a cruelty free alternative to the Aveeno Positively Radiant daily moisturizer that I used to use every day under my makeup and this is a very nice replacement. So nice in fact that I have repurchased it and think it will become my morning staple. It's not expensive, moisturizes without leaving my face feeling tacky and doesn't irritate my skin. The only downside is that I have to order it online, I can't find it locally so I have to plan ahead. I don't want to run out! And I do wish the SPF was higher, but I wear this under my makeup which also has SPF. For summer days when I don't wear makeup I do have a SPF 30 here.

Re: TGIF Beauities! What Did You Use Up This Week 8/11?

Greetings. This is for two weeks:

Philosophy the Micro Delivery Peel Vitamin C/Peptide Resurfacing Crystals 2 oz.  Used this for years. Skin feels smooth after usage. Will repurchase.

Cherry Blossom Body Butter Bath and Body Works 7 oz.  Had this around for a long time because I didn't like the scent. Decided to use it as a foot cream and ended up liking the scent. Go figure!  Lots of lotions and butters to use up as replacement.

Have a happy and healthy week ahead.

Re: TGIF Beauities! What Did You Use Up This Week 8/11?

Hi everyone!

This week I used up:

Jergens Natural Glow lotion, always have a back-up in my stash

Paula's Choice Brighten Up teeth whitener.  This helps maintain the results I get from other products.

ELF Matte Magic finishing spray.  I like this better than UD All-Nighter and it contains no alcohol.

Tossed out:

NYX Wonder Stick, just didn't work for me.

@Oshare-girl  Where did you get your Inglot shadows?

I ordered some from Beautylish, and the colors that came did not look like they did on the computer screen.  Then I checked Inglot's website, and they have the same images as Beautylish.  I was able to keep the white shadow, as it was true to the color I saw on Beautylish, but I had to send back the other colors, as they looked nothing like what I thought I would be getting.  I'm wondering if there's another place to shop for them that might have more accurate swatches, or maybe a B&M store where people shop for them?

I realize it can be hit-or-miss when shopping for colors online, but I was so disappointed that the colors I ordered didn't resemble the images on the website (except for the white).  Smiley Sad

@mistriTsquirrel I got my around 5 years ago from the Macy's at Union Square in San Francisco. I was there on vacation and found out they carried Ingot in-store.  Other than that, I know there is an Inglot store in Las Vegas.  But there are none where I live.  I kept track of the shade numbers I liked so that I can repurchase them in the future online.  Boy, was the store display overwhelming!  I was there for a long time swatching.

@Oshare-girl  Nice!!

Oh well.  I thought it would be really nice to be able to buy a few more colors, but it looks like I'll be sticking with Nyx, etc. for now.

Thanks!!

Re: TGIF Beauities! What Did You Use Up This Week 8/11?

OK, this kind of goes through the weekend, not just Friday so this week I used up a bottle of Aquolina Pink Sugar eau de toilette spray. Shoppers Drug Mart usually has these gift sets on sale so I'll wait until then to see if I want to repurchase it.

I got rid of a couple of Essence eyeshadow crayons -- beige and brown with too much sparkle in them. I don't like that they have too much red undertone in them either.

I also have stopped using a Real Techniques silicone brush cleaning scrubby pad. The silicone scrubby gets caked on with foundation and it's hard to clean it. I told my husband to power wash it next time he's outside cleaning pavers. I found another use for it -- I can groom the cat with it as the silicone nubs pick up cat hair and the scrubby has a handle on it so I can use it as a cat grooming tool!

Lastly a L'Oreal ombre lip palette in the ruby shade. The colors are too red for me and I have the same palette in the nude shades which aren't really nude but pink, mauve, and berry shades and I like that palette much better as the colors are more wearable on me.
