Wanting to try out the TATCHA line, but am concerned about Talc being one of the ingredients. If you go to TATCHA'S web site, Talc is not listed, but if you look on QVC's site,Talc IS listed. Talc is just a filler and for the price of this product, that is REALLY disappointing. Talc is the FIRST ingredient so it has most of it in there. Talc can be really irritating. Does anyone know the answer? Thank you so much.

Alcohol (the drying kind) is even worse fpr your skin and more irritating. I'd be more concerned about that than the talc.

By the way, it IS interesting that they no longer list talc on their website. It use to. I wonder if perhaps they removed the talc from the product?

I too noticed it is no longer listed on their website. I did not notice any difference when using the powder and thought it was drying. I do however think the cleansing oil is amazing. I would not be without it. It takes off makeup and leaves my skin so soft. Only use this at night, and the bottle lasts for months. Otherwise, I use Okay skincare which I love.

It looks too time consuming to use. She has gorgeous skin and seems like a nice person. I just usually use wipes to remove makeup and a cleanser.

More BOLOGNA about cosmetics as far as I'm concerned. Of sure this stuff is all natural, centuries old ingredients, etc. etc. So how come RICE powder and papaya extract (think excess skin from processing the fruit) now cost an arm and a leg? REALLY? We're supposed to buy that? RICE at that price?

Absurd. I'm getting tired of being told these things that don't make sense (CENTS for others -- yeah they make that).

All I can tell you is that I was sent a gift of Tatcha products. I stupidly didn't read the ingredient lists before using. Within an hour of using, my face was on fire. Wiping it off didn't help. Long story short, I had to make an emergency visit to the doc. She said that the talc was the most likely reason for my reaction, which she described as akin to a chemical burn. She gave me an injection to stop the pain and I had to apply a prescription steroid gel for about 8 or 9 days after that to get rid of the bright red color and swelling. My doctor was stunned that talc was the first ingredient listed and told me that talc has long been known to be a huge problem/irritant for skin for myriad reasons. Talc appears to be the foundation of Tatcha's entire line!

At my doctor's urging, I contacted the company to report what happened to me. The owner responded, very apologetic and even offering to pay my medical bills. Because I am fortunate to have excellent health insurance, everything was covered, so I declined her kind offer. My guess is that they have had many reports similar to mine and are trying to figure out how to reformulate without talc, but that's just a guess.

This is really interesting; thanks, everyone, for sharing. I remember years ago when talc was found to cause cervical cancer in women, and it was immediately removed from baby powder, perfumed powders, etc.

This report about Tatcha is really alarming to me. Actually, the first time she was on with her centuries old "secret" ingredients, I thought about ordering......but then I checked my Estee Lauder, LancĂ´me, etc....and found rice powder was already being used as an ingredient!

I guess it was not that secret! LOL

I agree, she is a beautiful woman, but I feel good now about staying with what I already use.

I can say that the product lasts a long time as you do not need very much.... But... The packaging is awful fancy$$$. I wish they would downsize the fancy packaging and focus on just the product so that we could pay less. I will not pay that much ever again no matter how nice the product is or was.

You are so wise to question various ingredients in cosmetics. Read the book "Dying To Be Beautiful." I stopped using anything containing talc. There are a myriad of cosmetic companies that are removing questionable ingredients, so you will have many other choices.
