I have the Drybar Buttercup and really like it a lot! I have below shoulder hair length which is fine-makes quick work although I don't do any fancy styling in the cold. I bought it as a TSV.

I recently upgraded from my old Cricket to the Babyliss Torino and the Ovente 3600 Ionic. I like them both but while the Torino is small, it is heavy, so I picked up the Babyliss Babino for travel, though the handle doesn't fold. I would get their folding travel dryer. The Torino is small and snub nosed but heavier than it looks because it is a powerful dryer and has a long heavy duty cord. The Ovente is a traditionally shaped dryer and as many watts as the Torino and powerful as well with a long, heavy duty cord.

It all depends upon if you need a light weight one, full sized, or quite. Many people love and use the Babyliss folding handle travel dryer for their regular dryer and use it everyday. I don't use mine very often because it still takes so long to dry, and I am not great with a round brush. Here are links to all of them from Amazon so you can read the reviews. I have super fine, super thick hair that is between my shoulders and chin and use the wrap technique for drying with a paddle brush. My hair is straight. I color every 4-6 weeks, so it is colored but very health due to my treatment of my oily hair.

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}Thank you , thank you, thank you! I appreciate the time you took to respond. You have helped a lot!

Now, to make a decision. I used to use cheaper dryers but when I bought the Babyliss, I did see a difference in my hair and now that I am back to using the old one, I don't like it at all. I did like my Babyliss but I may order the T from Costco to try something different. I am going to look at all of your suggestions and order one soon!

Thanks again!

If you have a Sally's beauty supply you could check there. I had looked at folica.com (as someone else suggested), and in the description of the products they have the weights for the dryers. I thought it was great they had that info!

The other good thing about folica is their credit for a trade in on your old dryer. You get a credit and then mail it back to them.

I haven't tried a T-3 but got the Drybar when it was a TSV - I like it. It's my first high-end dryer and although I don't see THAT much difference between that and a cheapo, I just blast my hair to smithereens to dry, I don't even try to style or smooth.

I like it because of the variety of settings, it's not heavy, and you can remove the end cap thing to remove hair (if that makes sanse). I probably would have gotten a T-3 if that had been the TSV at the time, but I'm happy enough with this. T-3 looks cooler, though. :-)

Same here. I just like it. I like the cute blowdry videos that drybar puts out, and I like the texture of the blowdryer (soft plastic, not smooth). When it was a TSV I watched a testimonial caller who said that she owned one and it just made her "happy" to use. That's how I feel about it too. It is a nice blowdryer, it is cute and works well, I think that it dries my hair faster and I like it. I use it every darn day, and I like it Smiley Happy. I do regret that I didn't get the TSV and instead got the Sephora deal for $200, but I don't care. Its a sweet little blowdryer.

Another vote for Drybar! It's top of the line. Bought it thinking that I'd send it back if I really couldn't tell the difference between it and my Sally's $30 one. There is a difference. It's awesome. Top quality.

I use a Onei MK II Air Ionique. I have blond, just below shoulder length hair that has been tamed by this dryer. When I first starting using it, I thought there was something wrong as it didn't seem to generate a lot of air. Now, I realize all of my other hair dryers were wrong! This hair dryer dries my hair without blowing it all around and the result is a smoother look with no frizz. My cut looks better because I am able to achieve the same control of my hair as my hairdresser does in the salon. I purchased mine on Amazon for around $100. I would highly recommend.
