Is it possible to find a sunscreen that is NOT shiny, tacky, or greasy that plays well under foundation? I've given up! Supergoop is the one I am currently using but wondering if anyone has other suggestions. I'm actually waiting for some stick ss to come in the mail.
Thanks!

There is a market for matte sunscreens. Just look for matte sunscreen and you'll see several.

@jobiz , I have Neutrogena spf 60 for face, the one with Vitamin E. It really disappears, and no shine or greasy feel. Broad spectrum serum spf 60. Was recommended here...I first bought for my mom. Amazon has best price.
I was about to give up on sunscreens, most are so problematic for my skin.
The only other one I like, is Shiseido, hydrating in the tube.

I found two. Tatcha makes a matte sunscreen, but it is kind of thick. My favorite is Isdin Photo Eryfotona Actinica. Tatcha leaves a very, very slight white cast. The Isdin leaves no white cast. The only downside is that they are both pricey.

I use Mad Hippie Skin Serum Sunscreen SPF 29. water like with a slight tint, and Clean beauty. I only will use an all Physical Sunscreen with no chemicals.

I'm very sensitive to sunlight (due to rosacea) so I've researched and tried many sunscreens.
There are two types - chemical and mineral. The mineral ones (with titanium dioxide or zinc oxide as active ingredients) form a physical barrier on the skin (they are "sunblocks"). Chemical sunscreens go into the skin.
In my experience, mineral sunscreens are non-greasy. They're broad spectrum, very effective, and easier on sensitive skin. Chemical sunscreens can be greasy, and can cause reactions in people with sensitive skin.
One possible downside is that mineral sunscreens can leave a white-ish appearance on the skin. They've improved a lot so this is now less of an issue (anyway, foundation would cover the sunscreen). You also can buy a tinted mineral sunscreen that doubles as sunscreen/foundation.
I'm using Cotz 40 SPF, Sheer Matte Mineral Sunscreen "facial primer." I like the untinted version, but it comes in tinted versions also. Elta also makes a good mineral sunscreen; it's tinted. There are lots to choose from these days, some made just for the face.

Thanks to all. Believe me I have researched matte sunscreens and have tried many that were mentioned except I find they may just give me the three/four things I am looking for in ss. I have also tried Korean brands. The search continues...

I like MD Solarsciences Mineral spf 50 (they also make a spf 30 that I believe is tinted but I've not tried that one). It's matte and while I often don't wear makeup, when I do I use this as both a sunscreen and primer.
I got it in a two pack from Costo.

@jobiz - I like the one by First Aid Beauty. It's not shiny or greasy. I wear it under my foundations. ![]()
