To me, it's better to agree to disagree if neither side can resolve their differences.
NC, bullies just don't exist in the Wen forum.
I agree with NC about your use of the word "bullies" with regard to this thread.
I'll be the first to admit that I feel very strongly about this topic and the issues dooBdoo mentions in her astute post just now. That doesn't make me or her a bully.
Some topics will be be debated very heatedly. Again, that has nothing to do with bullying or bullies. Using the word that casually is sort of a shame because it detracts from the real definition.
Besides, better that we get passionate about an issue that actually is important instead of the run-of-the mill trivial contentious threads we see every day. I mean, arguing about how to cleanse one's hair????????

I guess arguments can start in almost any sort of topic. It depends on what people are passionate about.

Very few of the posters on this BB and esp. on this beauty section understand that moderate use of or exposure to anything is the best policy. I once wrote that there is no reason to use sunscreen to walk to the mailbox or from your car into a store and they jumped all over me just for that. There are some very radical posters here.
There are some great exaggerators here too.

I doubt that Sunscreen is doing more harm than good. My dermatologist always tells me to wear sunscreen, I mean everyone is entitled to believe what they want but I hope if you changed your mind about sunscreen you can at least minimize rather than eliminate your use of sunscreen.

suzyQ, it seems like you are taking my use of the work "bully" very personally.
I wonder why....

okay to me it sounds like Wen's comment was directed at you HB, that you were intentionally trying to be inflammatory, therefore people are going to react so you kind of instigated such a reaction. I could be wrong but that is how I took WenGirl's post but you agreed with her and basically called Suzy a troll?

I think what I was trying to say was that maybe it would be best for people to not get too riled. I saw some earlier posts in this thread and it looked like thread was about to get a little...heated, to say the least.
Hi, NC Bandwagon! You've only been posting here a short while, so I think I can understand your being puzzled. Some topics have been re-hashed countless times, some quoted websites are bound to get a reaction (both positive and negative), and the posters who've seen them tend to remember the past threads. Not that I condone it, but I think it often accounts for a bit of a bristly attitude from some. Even though we do see helpful info posted at times, in general I wish QVC wouldn't allow any medical or pharmaceutical advice posted here. I think it's irresponsible and sometimes quite dangerous, but the Q continues to allow it so we have to try and make the best of it.
Hello.
When you put it that way, perhaps you're right about the not posting medical or pharmaceutical advice. I could see how that might cause problems. No offense to you, sidsmom. I get the feeling that you weren't trying to stir up anything.
Thanks for your response. We do the best we can here, or at least I hope everyone does.
