Any suggestions on what works for someone in their 60's with dry skin
I'm 64 with uber dry skin. Dry skin needs hydration. It needs moisturizers too but hydration and moisturizers aren't the same. I will insert pictures of the various hydrating products I use. My complexion is dry but it doesn't know it (g). As for moisturizers, the BEST I've ever used is from Tatcha. I ran out and used Kiehls for a while. It didn't do as well as Tatcha but was of course better than nothing. It certainly worked in a pinch. Everyone is different. Also...toners are not what they used to be (aka harsh and drying. And they are more often referred to as essences)
Hydrators/essences I use 2x a day:

Moisturizers I use day and night:

I also use various serums. I don't know what you're looking for in the way of a serum, but, if you have uneven skin texture and maybe some breakouts, Niacinamide (from The Ordinary) is wonderful. Vit C is good for a bright complexion and free radicals. Lactic Acid, CoQ 10, Matrixyl, Retinol and Glycolic Acid. Squalane Oil is wonderfully hydrating and soothing. I use and enjoy all these products daily and am happy with my complexion.
And two products I keep on hand for times I'm too tired to do my evening skin care routine or I've done something to trash my face, are these two products. They should be in everyone's medicine cabinet.

They have other products in the line that might work even better for you but those are the two I keep on hand for emergencies. Complexion is back to normal the next day
