Snowball, thank you!
Gubby, I looked at the products on the CVS website. The descriptions say they don't cure the stye but relieve the symptoms?

My mother did this for us as kids and it really does work. She took her yellow gold wedding ring and swiped it gently over the stye a few times.
I mentioned that here a fews years ago when someone else asked and she came back here and said 'omg that worked, unbelieveable'.
Try it

I used to get styes when I was a child; sometimes there would be several at once. My parents weren't ones to run to the Dr. unless I was really sick, so I never had a Dr. treat my eyes. However, I started loving prunes right out of the box and ate them daily. The styes went away!

SeaGal and Fluffy, I will try that! How frequently is it done? I imagine the weight of the ring is what makes it work.
di, I like prunes, so I will give that a try as well.

HonnyBrown, I just remember her swiping it across the stye one time, swipe it a couple times tho in that one time. lol does that make sense?
I am sorry this happens to you when you wear mascara, that is a real bummer.

Wow, so someone else has heard of this too!

I used Benedryl cream (bought it for my waxed brows) and it didn't do anything. My brows weren't red, though!
wild, the stye is already developed.
Yes, I understand it is already developed. Colloidal silver can get rid of it at any stage. It is great stuff. Once you know what works, then the next time you think to start to treat it early.

I used to get them as a kid and did this exact thing. Always worked. Good luck to you, OP!

Excellent ideas...I have found if I don't really focus on washing my liner/mascara off, a stye will appear. Don't get me wrong, I take my washcloth & cleanse my eyes....but I have to rub it around my lash line to remove all teaches of makeup, some days.
