Stupid Question on Organization

So, a few weeks ago I went out and purchased some of those plastic drawers to store my BE in with the intent of organizing my collection. Well, those same plastic drawers are still sitting here with absolutely nothing in them!!! My problem is I don't know where to start.

How do you store your BE?? Do you keep "kits" together or do you take apart the kits and put eyeshadows with eyeshadows, blush with blush? Right now, I have a lot of my make up still in the kit boxes they came in. It takes up too much room and some of the boxes are just plain, cardboard -- nothing fancy. Help!!! I can't figure out which is the best way? What seems to work for most of you?

I'm afraid if I break a kit up, it will be difficult to locate the parts of the kit to put the look together. I'll forget what goes with what kit.

If I keep kit contents stored together I feel it would limit me my use of some of the products.

Ugh! I can't decided. Seriously!!!!
