I am getting very low on foundation (a first for me in several years) and would like to try a stick foundation. Would anyone have a good recommendation for mature, combination skin? (High or low end)
For ladies who prefer the stick form - do you feel they are as long wearing? Natural looking? Time saving ? Do they need any additional powdering?
I would welcome anyone’s thoughts/suggestions. Thanks in advance !

i[ recently tried Mally's stick foundation that I really like.(may be sold out).   I also like Bobbi Brown's and Bare Minerals.   I don't think finishing powder is required - just depends on your preference.  They are easy to apply  - a little on each cheek,  forehead etc. and rub in with fingers. They are also not as dry looking as powder foundation.

I have tried many stick foundations but my skin is dry. So my recommendations probably would not suit you. However, I just wanted to answer a few of your other questions. I do find that they are quick to use. Easy to blend. As far as using powder, since I use an emollient type, I do use a setting powder. If you are using a matte version you may not need a setting powder.

If you like a heavy, made-up face, stick foundation gives you that look.

I have bareMinerals stick foundation which I use only as a concealer. Toooooo heavy looking, for me.

LancĂ´me is my favorite brand for stick foundation. They have many different shades and my dry skin looks good with it even when I'm too lazy to put on a moisturizing primer.

I have used Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation stick for several years now and would recommend this to anyone. I find that it's provides about sheer to medium coverage. My skin is very oily so I always use a setting powder afterwards. This is the foundation I use from Fall through Spring, and I switch to the Bobbi Brown Skin liquid foundation in the summer time.

I really like LancĂ´me stick foundation. You can apply a little or a lot. It doesn't feel heavy.

I have tried them all, many too heavy and hard to blend or bad color choices for my very fair skin.  Lancome is the best for me, a little goes a long way, blends well, and skin looks natural and perfect.  No finishing powder needed but it isn't dry at all.
