Stick Foundation Rec Please

[ Edited ]

I've been using Maybelline Fit Me stick foundation. I found liquid foundations to be too heavy & powder foundations cause my face to feel dry and itchy. The stick foundation spread easily, wasn't heavy, but could be built to cover any spots.

So of course it's been discontinued.

I've seen many other brands of stick foundation; searched until I'm confused & overwhelmed. The Maybelline brand one felt creamy & moisturizing ... and it only cost $9 the last time I bought it earlier this year. I wear either the lightest or 2nd lightest shade.

Kim Gravel has a foundation called "Gone In A Swipe." It looks very similar to the Maybelline one, with a light inner circle, & the claim is that it's moisturizing too. KG's costs $41. I was disappointed with KG's powder foundation, so I'm very hesitant about buying her foundations again.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a stick foundation that isn't too heavy and is moisturizing so it doesn't dry or get cakey?

@Desert Lily

Have you tried looking online for the Fit Me foundation stick?  When I have a product that's discontinued I often find it on Amazon or Ebay.  Good luck.

glad u asked. I've been using a stick foundation by Number 7. I buy it on Amazon. My skin is dry, textured, age spots and some red discoloration. This foundation is creamy, blends easily. It covers well. Very affordable. Oh and lots of shades.

@smoochy  I'll check Amazon for the Number 7 and hope they have my shade. Thank you!

@PinkyPetunia  I did try to find it online, but sooner or later I'll have to change to a new one I guess. Thank you for your suggestion. It's a pain when companies discontinue products we like.

I use this cream makeup. Its solid like the stick but in a pot.. i use a slightly damp blender/bouncer sponge to apply 51ixETRzbuL._SX300_SY300_QL70_FMwebp_.webp

@LizzieInSRQ - this is the one I use also.  It works just fine.  Get it at any drug store, Target, etc.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

It is a bit expensive but, after wasting a lot of money on others, I prefer Hourglass.

I like the Tarte Skin Treat Poreless foundation stick. I bought if from Qvc awhile back, I don't see it in stock now. The coverage is nice and I use a primer first.

I like both the Dior and the LYS stick foundations. LYS is more affordable.

I just had a flashback of when I was a teen and had a Saturday night date, I always used my Max Factor Pan Stik. hahaha Loved it. Imagine my surprise when I just saw they still have it!!! Boy, the competition these days must be fierce!
