St. Tropez application mit

I am loving the St Tropez self tanner, however the application mitt is the least to be desired. I only used it for a few applications before the inner plastic separated from the seam and got tanner all over the tip of my fingers. I decided to go back to the tried and true method of the good old plastic bag application. I was shocked at how well the tanner went on. I was also surprised at the amount of tanner that was being absorbed into the mitt and not onto my body. I have decided to throw away the mitt and use the plastic bag for application for now on.

What have been your experiences??
