I'm thinking that my face/skin has been 'breathing' better without makeup, and has developed a smoother look. ?
I have been coating it with a light layer of coconut oil, though. Not greasy at all.
I have never been a heavy makeup wearer, and I understand that I am fortunate to have good skin.
One of my co workers had told me awhile ago that it takes her an hour do her makeup before work each morning. I asked her what the h*e* l* l* was she doing that it would take that long. Back in March I saw her without makeup on and I understood why, she had awful skin. Fast forward to a few days ago, I run into my office for a few hours once a week to do things that I cannot do at home. She also happened to come in to do a few things on that day. Her skin looked amazing. I was like wow!! My point is that woman need to stop with all of the massive amounts of makeup and give your skin a bit to as you say breathe.

OK ladies, I get it! Not necessary but don't shoot the messenger
I'd never heard of such a thing but I live in a very rural area in an area that has hardly been affected by COVID (reported anyway). The YTer does spray her face with setting spray but said she found spraying her mask also helped...just sayin' ![]()

Setting spray has a lot of alcohol in it. Not smart to spray something with alcohol and then put it over your nose and mouth.

I saw this video as well. If it works for her and that's what she wants to do, that's her business. I don't use a setting spray and I'm not going to buy one to see if this works.
As far as the alcohol in a setting spray, there are a lot of "clean" setting sprays that don't contain alcohol. Even if a setting spray does contain alcohol, I doubt this is a huge problem. I have seen doctors and nurses advise people to spray their cloth masks with alcohol to "clean" them rather than wash them every single day. Of course you let them dry before putting them on your face.
And once again, it's not an option for some of us not to wear make-up because we are still working everyday. I don't know why some think everyone is in their same situation.
I honestly don't know what kind of make-up anyone is using that none of it comes off on their mask. I use foundation, setting powder and bronzer and everytime I put a clean mask on, when I take it off there is make-up of some kind on it. Even when I use a very thin and light serum foundation.
