Someone please tell me why Body butters and lotions are so expensive?

I know the ingredients but that is purchased in bulk too. The lotions and butters are massed produced so why the high prices? If you spend an average of $50 a month on it, that's $600 a year. I personally think the prices could be somewhat lower. If these cosmetic companies would lower their prices on skincare in general, women would be buying their products like crazy.
