Allergies and humidty are an issue with my eyes ... they get puffy.

I had been using some Avon stuff for a couple of years, but all of a sudden I was getting an irritation from it.

So - I tried an old fashioned remedy that one of my aunts told me about years ago:  witch hazel.

Just a bit on a cotton ball - dabbed under my eyes - puffy gone!

I've been using it for about a week now - and the effect seems to be cumulative!

I googled just to make sure there were no known issues - and found some good info.

Used it for years as an astringent after washing face.  Removes any residue without being harsh  I keep it in the fridge.  Better if used cold.

@freakygirl

In the beginning, no.  It was several hours.

But after a week it seems to be lasting all day.  I did my makeup about 10:30 am - went to dentist about noon.  Got home about 2 pm.  Still looks okay.

It's hot and humid today in NYC and the pollen count is medium to high, and I walked home from the dentist (about one mile).

Good idea - I forgot about that.  It was one of the things my aunt mentioned!

Re: Solved: Puffy Eyes

[ Edited ]

I spritz Witch Hazel lightly over face and pat off with a cool cloth every AM.

Thayer’s Amazon.  Rose/Lavender.

Haven’t used it on eyes, but will give it a try.

thanks

I have an issue with it...the smell!  How could anyone market a product that goes on someone's face and has a stench worse than anything I think I've ever smelled Smiley Surprised  I even tried holding my breath and fanning my face for it to dry quicker.  My twice used bottle is going to my daughter who swears by it.  They must not be able to make it "unscented" because there's no way anyone would market that "fragrance" if they didn't have to.  Kuddos to you for being able to handle the smell!
