Anyone here ever use a solid shampoo bar like that sold by Beekman 1802?  I’m going on a Europe bus tour and we’re limited to a carryon size bag only.  I have long thick hair and would prefer to save my 3-1-1 liquids for hair conditioner instead as I can bring the solid shampoo through TSA no problem.  I’ll likely give it a try before the trip, but thought I’d ask you all for opinions.

if you do like it, what brand do you recommend?

I believe bendsoap dot com or goatmilkstuff dot com might have some shampoo bar options.  You can try googling goat milk shampoo bar as well and maybe more options will come up. HTH

My DD uses bar shampoo from Lush--she loves it. I used some from Lush when my hair was growing back from chemo--needed a good, natural, stimulating, shampoo for my very sore scalp. Lush has many choices.

I tired it but my hair ended up all gummed up. Yuck. They say it takes some time for your hair to get used to it. I could not wait that long. My hair felt & looked terrible so I had to wash it with shampoo. LOL!!!

If I were you I would at least try it before you take it on a trip only to find you don't like it.

Checked out he lush website.  I have a little time, so I’m going to order a couple and give them a try.  It would be great if they sold shampoos as powders (like laundry detergent) that we could just add water to for lather.  I’m not a dry shampoo person.  Lush sounds like it’s worth a go as a travel shampoo only.

Guess you could invent that great new powder shampoo before someone else does. Too late someone already did. Google  powder shampoo add water. Who knew?

I hated that stuff.  Hair was like straw and I ended up shaving my legs with it!
