What works for me is hsns MASAM Magic Finish makeup. It looks dark in the jar but it applies so smoothly and leaves a matte finish.

Another is SSCs Hydra Pixel which is similar to MASAM.

When I need more coverage I use SCAs large pan of foundation (comes w.a concealer) which I apply w fingers. (But first I use her color-wheel, which has yellow/blue/lilac and beige sections to even out your spots or redness first) All 3 lines are very affordable and hsn is very quick at refunds if not satisfied.

I do not like the feel of most make-up and so use light feeling foundations that are easy to apply.

I would go to Sephora and they had a unit that will let you know what shade you are plus they send all of the matching Foundations to you computer and you can see which ones would be a match for your skin tone. The send you a lot but you can look on line to find out which ones are cruelty free,

When I decided to try Mac I asked the online rep for help. She asked me what Actress I am compared to and I said Julia Roberts...then asked me what color my veins look and I said blue as opposed to green which means I am more cool (pink tone)...and she suggested I get NW25 and I got it in the Studio Fix Fluid Foundation w/spf15...it is perfect on me...I love it and I only use a dab in spots I need it and it gives great coverage. So they really helped me and knew what color worked best on me. Maybe try that

I picked up the Alba Botanics CC cream and Physicians Formula CC powder today at Wal-Mart. I also got a Real Techniques stippling brush to try with the CC cream. I can't wait to try them out. If these don't work out for me, I am heading to Merle Norman to see what they have.

I used it in the past, and just now returned to it. Estée Lauder Double Wear. I just don't think you can beat it.
