Did anyone else have this problem with the Perfector .... or was this just one person's experience?

I have the Perfector and I just love it. It sounds like you just can't use any heat related tools on your hair. That is really tough to try and figure out how to get some waves or curl in your hair. From the sounds of it from all the posters, it isn't the Perfector that is the problem. Sorry.

On 2/23/2015 MFitz said: Whenever I see the Perfector presented I get so upset. I was given this for Christmas and started using it on the lowest setting a few times a week. While it didn't do much for my hair, I used it to get a flip and it helped a bit. However, after a couple of months I noticed breaks on my ends and up the shaft of my hair where I used the Perfector. Thank goodness I never used it near my scalp. ...
The guy who does my hair says split ends are a normal occurrence for my hair ... I have them trimmed regularly.
I rarely blow dry my hair or any use any other device on it ... it's short and I usually just let it air dry.

I've owned the Perfector for months and I love it! I have shoulder length, stick straight hair but don't like a lot of curl, just body. This tool gives me body and even shine! I always use a heat protectant spray whenever I blow dry or curl my hair for extra protection.
I agree with prior posters who say that everyone's hair is different. What works for one person won't work for another. You experiment with different products and find what works for you. The Perfector and your hair weren't meant for each other. But I agree that you can't say to take it off the market just because it didn't work for you...obviously, it's working for a lot of people or it wouldn't still be on the market!
I had a similar problem with the Chi flatiron. Whenever they presented it on air, they would say that it wouldn't damage your hair and that it even gave it shine. Well, it was very much the opposite on my hair. I noticed split ends and singed areas on my hair from using it, even when I used a heat protectant spray! But I know Chi is a well known brand so just chalked it up to not being for ME...not saying it's a bad product in general for EVERYONE!
Hope your hair is on the mend soon!

I also wish i had sent mine back.
Why Q allows the vendor to say that it is good for your hair is beyond reason. You would think that could be a class action lawsuit.

Hello, pookahbear and welcome.
Does the Perfector say that it'll shut off after it's been on for awhile or is it just randomly shutting off while it's supposed to be heating up? If it's just randomly turning off, it sounds like it may be defective.

Wow, thanks, I bought it a t Costco. I am always leary of any hair utensil that grabs hair and twists it, just the nature of that alone, guess you found out.
