and everything was going good, till it wasn't Smiley Surprised  I was using a pair of chunkers on the top of my head.  It looked so good I thought I'd work my way down just a bit.  Still looking good!  Granted my hairstyle is not picky.  We left for the day.  DH was amazed at how good it looked and so was I.  Came home and I thought I'd work on it a bit more.  He warned me not to.  Now it's 18 days till Christmas and family and I have one side of my head that is thicker than the other.  I have a haircut appt on Tues.  I think she can fix it but I should have never gone back in for more when we got home last night lol  Oy!

Oh no!  I've learned by the same mistake to NEVER go back for more. They can shape it up for you, though.

@monicakm

I did the exact same thing last week, went one extra step too much with more hair on one side than the other.

Had a brilliant thought to correct it but luckily I stopped ha.  Have a wedding to attend today and didn't want to make it even worse.  Looks ok and I have a hair appointment next week too so not too worried.

My sympathies. I won't cut my hair much. I will trim bangs when I have them, though. I, too, have learned that I can only let myself go in once. Otherwise, my fringe ends up uneven. ;-)

@Squirrels Are Trash

My fringe is uneven/choppy on purpose.  I cut them most of time. About twice a year I'll have her cut them.

I got my hair cut by a, so called professional. AND one side was longer than the other side.And it was noticeable to me the next time I washed my hair.  It was not the look I was going for.

So I went to get my hair evened out. It was so funny, the woman cutting my hair was convinced that I cut my hair myself. She clearly could not believe someone in the salon had cut my hair. She was convinced I did it, so I stopped trying to convince her.

@monicakm So even professionals don't always get it right.

Your hairstylist will be able to even it out @monicakm .  Don't beat yourself up about it.  You actually did pretty good.

I wouldn't mind trimming my hair, but I don't have any good scissors in the house.
