Re: So Disappointed - Bareskin TSV going back!

di-mc, I've been using make up for over 50 years now, so I can figure out how to apply it without a presentation. It's not the application it's the make up, at least for me. This is not the only serum foundation I've used so I can tell what covers and what doesn't. The Ready to Wear provides good coverage, this doesn't. That's MY opinion. It might work for others.

I have the Ready-to-Wear serum foundation, like it very much although the shade choices are limited, I like the formula. Enjoy it though because I'm not sure if it is coming back! It hasn't been on HSN's website for over 2 mos. now and when I call Customer Service they have no further information on it. Take a look.

Re: So Disappointed - Bareskin TSV going back!

OK , I am also a bit disappointed.

I had got color matched at Sephora for this foundation and also took home a sample to try. It was nice, so wanted to give it a try, and was waiting for the TSV to purchase

. In the meantime I also got color matched in Laura Mercier's new Serum Foundation and took home a sample of that. VERY nice!

So- purchased the TSV and when it arrived I couldn't wait to use it!! Well- the color doesn't seem right at all to me. It is the same shade I had a sample in, but this one is a little darker and seems to be a little warmer (I lean cool-toned). It also seems to actually just sit in my fine lines . The finishing powder is quite nice, as are the blush color and lip gloss. The eye shadow is a no go for me- big chunks of sparkle are no longer becoming on my 49 year old skin! LOL Brushes are good, but I have a lot of really nice brushes. (don't we all??lol)

So...I may be sending this one back. Just not loving the foundation enough to keep the whole kit for.

BUT- I am really LOVING the Laura Mercier Serum Foundation!! It glides onto your skin, gives a sheer- medium coverage (easily buildable) which is perfect for me- and it is honestly weightless. It feels as if I am wearing nothing , but looks really great on- which for me is a big time winner! Have already purchased full size and am really enjoying the look and feel. Is it pricey- yes. Is it worth it? For me, it is!

Re: So Disappointed - Bareskin TSV going back!

I don't need a heavy, cakey foundation but I do need foundation to give me coverage. The Bareskin foundation is perfectly fine. I get enough coverage without it being mask like or heavy.

However, I don't know why BE insists on giving such poor presentations on how to use the foundations. Anytime they present the loose minerals, they put such a ridiculously small amount in the lid, you couldn't cover your nose with it let alone do your entire face. But yet they swear that's all you need for your entire face. NOT! Plus the brush is all wrong.

Now, they are doing the same with this serum foundation. 2 drops are not even close enough to do your entire face. Again, I needed 2 drops to do my nose, my chin and the area above my lips. I needed another 2 drops for my forehead and 2 drops for each cheek.

I've not tried the rest of the products in the TSV but the foundation is a winner for me.

Sorry it didn't work for you, but this is one of the best foundations I've used. So natural looking, and it gives me plenty of coverage. I would buy this product again.
