Smooth down, up, or circular?

Was wondering how you apply cream to your neck?  I've seen most guests say smooth cream in upward strokes.  The only one I've heard say smooth downward is Dr. Brent from Beekman, something about smoothing down fat pads.  I usually do circular motion. What does everyone do?

I apply with upward strokes. It was how I saw taught years and years ago.

@TerryNJ    I was taught to apply in upward strokes just like @On It  mentioned.

I go with the up strokes -  there's no skin on my body I'd like to encourage to move downward.  Nature is doing a superb job of that!

Whatever direction you go it stretches your skin.  Sagging is sagging and it is what happens. Just be gentle.

I was always told to gently smooth upward when applying products to the face - gravity does a good job of pulling things down.  We need to do what we can to work against it!

@TerryNJ   I apply all skincare in an upward motion. It just makes sense to me not to pull skin down.

I apply creams to my neck in both directions, up and down, while my skin is still damp so that reduces the friction of pulling the skin...'slip'.
