Smile Actives Toothpaste Gel Should be Recalled by QVC

I join the other reviewers of this product who say they have experienced eruptions and sores on this lips after using the gel.  Today I hae sores that approximate burns on my lips.  QVC should have done more due due diligence on this product.  I have used just a small dot of the gel, not even the amount as shown in the video.  Today is the third day I have had the sores with no relief in sight.  I must report, however, that I have had no ill effects with the brush which I have used for over a year..

Are you referring to the Whitening Gel? SA does not make a toothpaste that I am aware of. But I will say that I have not experienced any problems with any of the SA products to date and have been very happy with my purchase of their TSV which included the gel plus five pens.Woman Happy

Ohh No - it's recommended that you replace your toothbrush every 3 months.....plus I change after a professional dental cleaning.  Brushes hold bacteria.

@tobes  Are you really using the same toothbrush for over a year?  Cat Surprised That could actually be your problem.

The OP is referring to issues with the GEL, not the brush.

@tobes

???     Smile Actives doesn't even sell a toothpaste on QVC .....  just a whitening gel.  If you're using it as a toothpaste, I don't doubt you'd have irritation.

If this really a toothpaste, call QVC CS and return the product as defective for a full refund including shipping.

BTW, you should never use a toothbrush for more than 3 months.  It's even worse if you leave the brush standing up in a glass on the counter.   Dr Oz says that, flushing the toilet after a #2, microscopic particles of fecal matter go flying up into the air and land on whatever is sitting on your counter ....  including toothbrushes!    Not a pretty picture,  to be sure, but something to consider ........

Instructions show loading the gel on your toothbrush along with toothpaste.

I'm curious about how long you brush your teeth...? I brush mine with the gel + toothpaste for 2 minutes, no longer,  then rinse like crazy. @tobes
