Smashbox Brow Tech to Go question

Hi, everyone: I bought and received the Smashbox Brow Tech To Go item a week or so ago. Got it yesterday. Please reassure me, if you can, that I'm going to like this item. So far, it seems, well, weird. I looked at the video of the presentation, but they didn't show how it actually is applied, and the Smashbox booklet that came with the item doesn't give any instructions at all. (Also, the coloring end had a broken piece in it when I first opened it!)

Should I work with it for a while or just send it back?
