Sounds like you need to get the pore open and keep it open until it either dries up the contents or helps it get to the surface where you can deel with it.
Either the 9% BHA from Paula's choice or the 15% salicylic acid peel from Makeup Artists Choice. The sample size will be more than enough. Dot on with maybe an eyeshadow brush. Leave on one minute, rinse off. Do this as often as you can without going raw!

Then it shrinks right back down again and although I know it is just barely there, it doesn't bother me. I can't really classify it as a blackhead because it's not one so really don't know what the heck it is. It takes a month, sometimes 2 or more before it starts to become really visible again and the routine commences once more.
I have no concerns about mine as it is just not something that seems to warrantee that plus I have had it for years now. It pretty much disappears when I get the contents out and then very, very slowly builds up again. When it does become visible to me, I also thought initially that I could just pick it off but have learned that that doesn't work as I have to drain what's inside out.
That's it!!!!!!! Except mine is little like milia. It's in an area with little to no fat so squeezing it is not easy. I have also had this for years. This teeny tiny zit and I are at war, lol. I am putting a Korean patch on it like I did last night, maybe I just don't treat it long enough. This morning, sorry kind of gross, there was a tiny blob of oil on the patch. Normally I would just let it heal up till next time. This time I put another patch on tonight. Even if it is clean I will probably do it again tomorrow night. My ex-husband had a blackhead on his neck and when we were married I would clean it out for him. It came back soon after, this went on for a year or two. Then when we split he never touched it and it became a big mess 7 years later. It was drained by a doctor and then reappeared, then they put a tube in it and drained it. Now he has a scar on his neck. I knew I had a purpose. I was a great zit popper, lol.

Kat, I know you are very knowledgeable about all the skin care items you use now or have used in the past. If this was something simple, I think you would have zapped it by now.
You know those stand alone clinics where people go - need a doctor but not serious enough for the emergency room. Or a clinic where they scale the cost acc. to your income.
PLEASE.......PLEASE.......
..........See a doctor or NP or PA, Kat!
You'll spend more $ buying products than a visit will cost.

Kat have you googled pictures of milia? If it is milia, all the zit stuff is not going to help because there is no hole for the trapped stuff to get out. There is a lot of good information on the internet.

um I had suggested it may be milia in my post at the beginning but you never commented on it (see post #3 in thread).
Or perhaps I am on ignore which is fine. I was only trying to help so now I know!

It sounds to me like a chronically congested and enlarged oil gland. I have a couple of these on my cheek I've "squeezed" them again and again over the years, and they keep coming back. They just produce and repeatedly fill up with too much oily sebaceous material. Occasionally they get inflamed, and when they do they look pretty much like a zit. The problem is deep in the skin -- not something you can fix with a topical application. Over the years they have become larger, more noticeable, and more difficult to "squeeze". My derm says they're a hereditary tendency and there's nothing to do but surgically remove them, which will require a stitch and leave a tiny scar. Just waiting for a "good" time to have a couple of lovely little holes punched in my cheek till they heal.......
Thank goodness for makeup camouflage.

Ok, I did google milia. One kind is:

Milia en Plaque
This condition is commonly associated with genetic or autoimmune skin. Milia en plaque affects the eyelids, ears, cheeks, and jaw. Milia can be several centimeters in diameter
My vitiligo is an autoimmune skin condition. I have also had them on my eye lids but I got those out. Come to think of it so did my dad. Also long term use of steroid creams can cause them. I actually have tried treating the thing with cortisone cream. Dumb me. Also several years ago I was using cortisone daily on my face. The doctors all said it was fine for long term use. Even my pharmacist cousin ok'd it. I'm not so sure now that it was. One way to get rid of them is a glycolic peel, another is a derm can poke it out, or you can use retin-a. They can also be in or near a hair follicle. Ok, I opt for the glycolic peel or the retin-a. No more cortisone cream.
I just went to pictures of Milia en Plaque and I am officially grossed out and feeling very blessed. My one little one is nothing compared to what some people have. They did have a pic of one lady who has one little one by her lips like I do. Many of those people had clusters of them all over their bodies. One lady had ping pong ball size ones on her head. You ladies sent me to look so you get to share my gross out.
But thank you for making me do what I should have done to begin with.

HappyDaze - Your post are always helpful. I'm sure Kat accidentally overlooked it. I am sure she does not have you on ignore.

On 7/13/2014 HappyDaze said:how long have you had it? Is it milia? I know you said you were using a bunch of new products, perhaps it has caused milia. Otherwise, you really need to go to the doctor. To me, going to see the doctor is more important that buying retin a which can be expensive and could make things worse since you have no idea what it is you are dealing with.
Happy Daze I would NEVER ignore you. I'm sorry.
I got carried away between different posts. I am pretty sure it is milia especially after looking up the info on google. I've had the thing under my lip probably for a couple of years. I have tended to scratch it lightly with clean hands and then apply zit medicine, then it's irritated and I apply cortisone cream. From what I read that is not a good idea, I was probably clogging it back up since cortisone can cause milia. Happy Daze, I have no insurance (denied twice after paying into the system for 40 yrs) although people have been telling me to reapply since O*ama care came about. My doctor charges 85.00 to walk in her office. My old derm would be way more. The zit patches are 8.99 and the retin is 15.00 plus I have both now. If the thing changed color or became bigger I would break down and see a doctor but it never changes. It is flat, then a teeny tiny bump and then I hate it and scratch it and on and on. More than likely I will have to see my doctor in Aug or Sept since I will need med refills. The last time I had a rash on my wrist she took skin out of my wrist and now I have two white scars. Only to tell me it's a rash and give me cream. Duh!! So when I see her I need to be fully up on milia info, lol. BTW never look up milia pictures online, they will give you nightmares.
