Ladies,
Does this really work?
‎03-31-2014 09:05 PM
I hope so because I ordered the eye kit that it comes in!

I'm a Skinn newbie and the first thing i ordered last time he was on was an eye kit. I love, love, love the balm and I'm almost out So, I was thinking of ordering the same kit.

I really like his eye products too. The infuser can only make it better I would think.

I purchased that kit also. Looking forward to seeing improvements in my eye area and hearing about yours too.

I bought the infuser and products to go with a few months ago, and I didn't feel like it did anything for me. Certainly not what it appears to do when Dimitri demonstrates it. I don't know if I was using it wrong, but I tried it for a week without any noticeable results. I will say that I thought it was a bit hard to use. It's got a rubber tip on it and it didn't glide smoothly over the skin if you pressed on it. I don't know, it just didn't seem as easy to use as when he demonstrates it. Call me 'infuser-challenged', I guess...

I haven't used Skinn since it was Parthena (and they were nice products), so I really can't comment on the products--but I think Dimitri is the ultimate salesman, very entertaining to watch. Almost like Adrienne on a less screechy level.
If the Skinn products did what was claimed, why would there have to be such a huge plethora of them? Wouldn't a few be enough? As for the infuser--isn't this just another way to apply the product? I hope women don't feel bad when they don't get the results Dimitri claims or shows in his pics. Not realistic for topicals, IMO.

I never found a Skinn product that wowed me (not even Dermappeal or the cleansers so many love) until recently. Never too impressed with the Parthena products I tried, either.
But now I'm really sold on a few of his products -- and that's why there needs to be so many options. Different people respond to different things, and we're looking to address different issues.
So for me, these topicals DID what Dimitri claimed. Granted, that's four products out of a line of many, but it's like that with all lines, I think.
I LOL'd at your "almost like Adrienne on a less screechy level". And you're right -- they both come across as so knowledgeable cutting edge. I will say that Adrienne was the very first person I saw proclaiming the benefits of Vitamin C, and Dimitri was the first I saw who offered an anhydrous cream.
ETA -- but yeah, I think they both oversell and make it sound as though EVERYBODY will see the glorious results.

I have it and have never used it consistently to determine if there's really a difference. That's the only way, I think, to know for sure.
I think the technology is sound -- Clarisonic sells a similar device. But I'm not sure Dimitri's is actually even sonic technology or if it just vibrates. I applied some stuff with the "antiaging" side of my Foreo Luna (sonic) and it felt different than Skinn's device, if that means anything.
Does he still show the blue dye being absorbed into the onion? I recall reading a (negative) review in which the reviewer said she'd tried that experiment, and there was no difference between the infuser side and the side where it wasn't used. Of course, no way to tell if she REALLY performed the experiment. On the other hand, several feel they CAN tell the difference and feel it delivers what is promised.
I've been absolutely no help, but I thinking ultimately it's the same with everything -- we have to try it and see if it works for US. Good luck!

Yes, he still does the onion thing...
