The chin up I ordered does not have any codes on the bottom. I checked every each inch in bright light, etc. But now I understand the inexpensive close out price. At least it was all sealed products.

On another note, these items have started showing up at the bay, I noticed the pro stickers on the bottles! You know what HL sold these for and they are listed at $29 each. One was even listed at $59.!! Are you kidding me?! Talk about taking advantage of buyers and the listings do not give exp.dates. I will be very careful on my purchases from now on.
which is what I said in post #45.
People buy cheap and then turn around and sell high. And if they got refunds, well, they make 100% profit.

sommertime, I was perusing ebay late last week and noticed there wasnt much in the way of the original Collagenisis products left except for a few 24 hr YPC's and a couple Wrinkle Balms. I was thinking tho it wont be long before the HL products start showing up!! So, if anyone is freaky about getting older products, stay away from the bay as anything original (Collagenisis) will be older stock.

Seagal--Yes, that's what I was thinking, too! Buyer Beware is certainly warranted for some products.

I must be invisible.

Seagal...Not exactly!!!
HauteLook has used Bate & Switch on it's customers in this case!
You have the ability to see the date @TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshall's or any other "close-out" company, but NOT with Haute Look, until after you have completed the sale & they ship the items to you.
I don't think that some of us would have purchased "old items" if that had been fully disclosed to us in the first place. I know that I would NOT have, since I was not planning to use them for a few months, & some of them would be out of the 2 year use by date.
Also...since these items were NOT shipped directly from Skinn Cosmetics to Haute Look as clearly stated in their verbage, than I smell fraud here!!!
I think a complete refund is in order for anyone that wants it regardless of the original non-refundable posting.

I'm not worried about it (HL) wenfen, I understand they takes leftovers, its how they operate.
As far as ebay, that was a PSA!!

why are you asking SeaGal these questions? I'm the one who said you should chat with CS before placing an item and ask about the specifics.
There is no bait and switch here. Now it's just getting ridiculous. Bait and switch would mean they advertised during the sale that these were brand new, freshly made products that HL bought out from Skinn and are passing along savings to you. That didn't happen and as depglass (and I) said, discounted products are almost always older stock that is being cleared out for new.
Now you are suggesting people call and get refunds? that is absurd. HL has been selling cosmetics for ages and never have I seen a thread like this where people are now accusing them of fraud.
ETA: I also think some people are now pi**ed off because they were going to sell a large stash on ebay and if too many people realize they are selling old stock they bought at HL, they won't buy it.

Ok I want to reply to a few things but don't want long threads quoted. I became concerned when I got 2 different bottles/ formulas of the same product...the yellow chin up. The older product is the OLD version which hasn't been packaged that way since at least 7/2012. They always say " stock up, it has a 2 year shelf life" . If I had known I was getting something 3 years old I would not have bought it. The ingredients are different in the older versions and do NOT have the Pro Lift technology. I wanted the items that I was currently using...not an old, out of date version w/o the same ingredients. Had it been made in 2013 I may have still bought, but thought about it more than a few minutes.
I started the thread so people who bought it, and thought they were going to be able to stock up for 2 years....were in fact getting items 3+ years old and they were not the same thing they were probably currently using!
Hautelook has NO control over the merchandise and relies on the word of the supplier that it is usable product. I don't want a body lotion if I ordered skin care. I say body lotion because I have seen on here before that people do that for products that didn't work. I was asked to please send back some of the items so they can see what I mean. I did NOT ask for a refund but was offered it.
I don't know who supplied it, but why would they want to sell 3 yr old items that may not get results, and maybe losing potential customers because the product did not work.
I asked CS if there was a way to check possible date codes on future sales. The answer is NO. HL just distributes what is sent to them by the supplier. This is how the wrong eyeliners got sent. The packages say black/gray on a label. The actual liners are black/sea.
If someone is gonna sell what was refunded to them on ebay, well that is wrong to do, and they will probably get bad feedback. The ones I didn't send back went in the trash,as was suggested by CS.

Hautelook has NO fault in this at all !! They do NOT have the merchandise before they sell it. They are a sort of middleman. I will buy from them again....will just be realistic and probably not buy skin care. As I said, I called to alert them that the product ...just the Chin up w/ the sticker and different packaging. Everything else in my order, altho the wrong items, seem to be ok and all the ones with dates/stamps, are completely in line with what I would consider fresh enough.
