Has anyone used either Skinmedica or Neocutis? If you have which one do you thinks best?

I have used SkinMedica for 2 years. I was introduced to the line after I had my first peel at a Skin Clinic. I now get regular peels, at least 4 times a year and sometimes if I have a special occasion where I want to look turned up a notch!

SkinMedica made a notable difference within one week. This line is a professional line and my first true introduction to pro strength retinol products. This was also the first time I ever had a moisturizer last All Day. Also, it was the first time my fine lines really disappeared, the TNS Eye Cream is amazing. The products made the most difference on my lines and skin texture. Expensive compared to the drug store, Target etc. but well worth the cost. I look at these products as Prescription vs. Off the Shelf. You do have to remember that when you make a move to these types of products, sunscreen is no longer an optional thing. You must have it on every single day, no matter what.

The Skin Clinic recommended a routine for both day and night. I do have sensitive skin so she worked the line to fit my needs exactly. Have to say, I am 59 and no one would know it from my skin, hands or neck!

Good Luck! It's great stuff!

I have used the Skinmedica before but stopped. Thinking about starting again, but notice the Neocutis. Skinmedica is probably the better choice. I also have sensitive skin would you tell me which products you use. I also liked the eye cream. Thanks

I have not used Neocutis. I haven't used much in SkinMedica either. But I what do use I love; and that is their Environmental Defense Sunscreen SPF50. It just feels and acts like a luxurious moisturizer. It's a treat to apply my sunscreen when I am using this. It sure is expensive, imo, though. Kiss

I used NeoCutis and noticed no difference. It was recommended by a doctor after a procedure. My outlook on these, as all skincare, is what makes it so exclusive? What are the ingredients I am paying? What is the active in the formula? Those questions drive my purchases, ingredients and not the name brand. Derms, doctors, spas sell these at a huge profit. Not saying they are not good. Not at all. But, I have found products with the same actives and better formulations for much less $$.

Re: Skinmedica or Neocutis

[ Edited ]

Neocutis hands down!  I've used both and prefer Neocutis.  Both have excellent results with their growth factors but the Skinmedica TNS Essential Serum is harsh, medicinal smelling and dries my skin out.  Neocutis is pampering, comforting, and awesome for my dry and sensitive skin. I love the Neocutis Bio-cream, Journee and Bio-serum - all awesome products.

I’ve used both and think any pharmaceutical skincare products are better than store brands.

When I went for a deep facial including peel at my derm, she suggested Skinsceuticals. I was almost out of Neocutis, so gave it a try. I like that she said I only need 3 products in the line: their Vit. C&E Fruelic, Emolliance Moisturizer for day and night which I alternate w/ my RX Retin A and Skinsceuticals Eye Balm.

I’ve found that my skin looks the same if not better and I have less products w/o separate moisturizers and an additional night serum & retinol.
