I have very dry skin year round and I cocktail a few very hydrating things everday and night. Mostly facial oils after my retinol and before moisturizers. I first use my Clarisonic once a day then go about the whole routine. Seems to help alot.

@monicakm   Hiya!  Woman Happy

Thanks for introducing, or re-introducing, us/me aware of this "Skin Flooding" to our/my skin care routine.

  Sounds like I've been "flooding" my eye area for years, when I found good products that work, & this eye flooding has paid off in spades.  And seems that my eye area drinks up the eye flooding to varied degrees on any given day.

      But perhaps I'm not flooding my face enough tho.  My face certainly hasnt reacted as wonderfully flooded as my eye area has!

I'm an exfoliation freak, yet I still I have to be extraordinary judicious with my penchant to exfoliate, I feel like I have even more reason to be curious about skin flooding on the face also.

I'd like to know more about Face Skin Flooding, fully aware that the drier the skin, oftentimes,  the older the appearance of the face.   And how tricky it can be to find the right hydrating products, or combinations to effectively moisturize & more attractively plump the face.

One product that simply includes some degree of Hyaluronic Acid just doesnt seem to cut it for me.  Esp since I DO NOT WANT to look like the dreaded "Prune Face," if at all avoidable!!

And as in the case of also, many other of the @Super Duper Beauty Experts (IMHO) here, y'all research, try out products, plus you put yrself out, & are also generous with yr time & energy to share your findings & experiences with us too.  ( @monicakm  Even when u r freshly recovering from yr Knee Replacement & Phys Therapy!)

EVEN WHEN RECOVERING FROM KNEE REPLACEMENT!         And I'm grateful!!

Thank you for info abt the Video, @monicakm .

    And any other advice, or specifics, counseling, directions, hints, ideas, incl of products that you can give us/me abt this Facial Flooding, I would gratefully appreciate.

And lots of women will probably love how they look with well hydrated plump skin. Man I'm glad I'm not a Negative Nancy! I'm glad I'm willing to learn and experiment and explore and accept new ideas.

@monicakm  - Yes, there are some negative folks on the forum.  I'm glad you continue to share suggestions with all of us.

First let me say I am not being negative....but for me and the type of skin issues I have I can't do to many products.  I find less is more for me.  I understand that other ladies such as yourself have drier skin types and the layering of multiple skin care works to keep your skin supple and hydrated.  I wish my skin was like that but things didn't work out that way LOL!

I say do what works for you and sharing your positive skin care routine is aways a good idea.  You just never know who it could help as they may have not heard about layering products this way.

@MG Chris

This was a lot of the comments on her video...women had already been doing this long before Tik Tok made a term for it.

I agree.  I DO have dry complexion but it has no idea it's dry.  I have tried the Dior Face and Body foundation again today.  Yesterday it felt dry but I wasn't feeling well and only put on one hydrator.  Today I used three + primer... forgot my moisturizer.  I'm interested in seeing if I feel dry later today.  Might have to send this foundation back to Sephora Smiley Sad

That's so kind of you @brandiwine , thank you Smiley Happy  I'm feeling MUCHO better today (so far).  2400 mg of gabatentin can make nearly anything feel better Smiley Surprised (taken over a 12 hour period).

@wagirl

I used to top everything with an oil in the evening but I can't anymore because of tretinoin.  Last night I hydrated quite a bit and applied the tret about 5 hours later.  Some say that's ok.

You are so welcomed!  Yes, it sounds like your face would benefit as your eye area does.  As you know, skincare is a passion and I love sharing my findings on this forum (even tho there are those that feel it necessary to bash a lot of my threads).  Your words mean a lot to me and I appreciate them more than you'll know.
