Just heard him say he lived in Simi Valley, Ca . At one time, yes, there were many groves of Oranges. My mother was born there, and I too lived there for many years and near a grove of oranges. My grandfather was in charge of a ranch where there were many groves of oranges. I remember him putting out smudge pots to keep the old air from ruining the oranges. California grows the best oranges, and they are so healthy for you. So glad to see a Wen product in the orange.

And Simi has the beautiful RR Presidential Library.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

seadew, welcome to the Wen forum!!! Smile

My SOB CC is on it's way to me and I'm really looking forward to trying it. I have a feeling that I'm going to be ordering extra SOB. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup} So thank you so much for this lovely visual of the orange groves.

I spent a few summers in my teens in Simi Valley myself, visiting my aunt and uncle. What a beautiful place! {#emotions_dlg.wub}

I lived out there for four years when I was a kid - although more accurately, my family was in Santa Susana. That was in the early sixties when there was practically nothing out there! To get "over the hill" to the San Fernando Valley, you had to drive over the scenic (but somewhat scary) Santa Susana Pass. The freeway system didn't cut through then.

Boy, that brings back memories!

How interesting. I lived in Simi almost my entire life and loved it. I would move back in a second if my husbands job wasn't in Georgia. Talk about a culture shock!

beautybuster: I lived in Newbury Park from 1978--1988 when I sold my house (dumbest thing I ever did). Then moved to Oak Park (Agoura) -- now in Oxnard (almost 13 yrs). We have the BEST weather. Sandy
