@Nonametoday you are correct. Peroxide does lift the cuticle and chlorine from a pool can stain your hair green. Also, purple or blue shampoos will stain the hair too.
Conditioner and peroxide mixed is used on course textured hair to lift the cuticle so that the color will take and hold if your hair is color resistant.

I don't know,but I've been told smoking will discolor silver and grey hair.
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned.

@Carmie @I have never ended up with green hair. This combination has always worked for my hair. It looks great!

Thanks so much ladies for all your help, especially Carmie (hairdresser)! I've never smoked and I do use a flat iron and heat brush. I take only thyroid pill daily and a multi vitamin. I'll try potential solutions given for sure. I'll may report back if a solution works.
