Does anyone know of a silicone free hair oil that one can buy locally and not mail order? Also any silicone free shampoo and conditioner that I can get at a drugstore, Sally’s, ultra or beauty brands? I find silicone free shampoo but it seems like the matching conditioners have silicone. Now I have no issues with silicones but I want to see how my hair responds to silicone free products. Please no WEN recommendations.

I don't know about the silicone free S&C, but for hair oil, have you tried argan oil? Or, any of the fruit/nut oils? (the ones with more body, like baobab) Coconut is supposed to be very beneficial for hair. I used to do coconut oil treatments occasionally, but my hair is in pretty good condition with what I use, so haven't done that in a while.

Do you have a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's or another natural grocer near you? They usually have several choices for Jojoba, argon or another natural oil with no junk in it.

@brandiwine Yes, I’ve used all natural argan on my hair for years....WholeFoods. For some reasons, Josie’s seems too heavy. She claims it’s 100% natural, but not sure.

Most of the hair oils out there are mostly silicone even though they tout all the other oils in the mix. I have found a couple in Ulta that do not have silicone. Redken makes a Diamond Oil that is silicone-free. There are two different ones for different hair types. The one for heavier hair I believe is the silicone-free one. Also, Pureology Precious Oils is silicone free. V05 also makes a silicone-free hair and body oil. It's in a spray bottle. I found it at my local Publix.
I also just mix up an oil concoction of my own.
There's a hair method that shuns all sulfates, silicones, drying alcohols called Curly Girl. It's a method for getting the best from your curly hair. There's a few facebook groups that cater to that. If you're interested I can steer you to one that is not really strict about it. At Sally's look at the Giovanni line. I believe that is silicone-free. At Ulta, Matrix Raw has a few silicone-free conditioners, although I believe the matching shampoo does have silicone. I don't try to match my shampoos and conditionrs. I only shampoo once a week and just Co-Wash the rest of the time. I have also seen mention of a Suave Strawberries and Cream you might look at, but you would have to look at the ingredients as I'm not sure about that one. I think all the Shea Moisture products are silicone-free and you can find that line at drug stores, Targe, and Ulta. Some of their products can be quite heavy though since a lot of it is aimed at black hair.

Everything from Living Proof I believe is silicone free, including their oil.

I know that you want only one that you can buy at a B&M, but I'll still share with you my choice of hair oil. It's expensive and, as far as I know, only online: Darshan Natural Indian hair oil
I'm on my third or fourth bottle. It comes in two sizes, and although the larger one is a better deal, I buy the small one because it lasts so long and I don't want it to turn.
FYI: When you are searching for silicone-free products, know that not every silicone ends in -"cone." Check a list online for all silicones. Most are not water-soluble and will build up unless treated with a sulfate shampoo, another big no-no for curly girls and others.

Just use pure 100% oils. Coconut oil works great on hair. Argan, jojoba and almond oil also work. If you want a scalp oil, jojoba.

I like Maui Moisture Shampoo. They also have a few spray oils. I like the Heal & Hydrate & the Sea Minerals.
MAUI MOISTURE® starts with a unique blend of aloe vera juice and is infused with pure coconut water, unlike some other shampoos that start with deionized water as their first ingredient listed. The results? Moisturized strands, mended split-ends, and a healthy glow with every use.

@kcladyz, if you truly want to see how your reacts to silicone-free products then you also have to address styling products.
Besides -cone, -xane is another common ending for silicones.
