Silicone Pop Sonic Facial Cleaner

I bought one of these a few weeks ago when it was mentioned here.  I like mine and am thinking of getting mom one for her birthday later this month.  She has rosecea. Do you think this would exacerbate the problem?

Thanks!

No it will not exacerbate rosacea when used properly. Don't press too hard and try to use a lower setting. I wouldn't use it more than once daily. I have redness and it doesn't make it worse. Silicone bristles are very gentle on the skin.

I can't say the same for Clarisonic. Those are more aggressive and can cause more redness.

I have pretty ‘sturdy’ skin, Miss My Clarisonic. 😢

@monicakm   Not if used gently and less frequently than other cleansing brushes like my Clarisonic. I have the gentle cleansing brush for mine and stocked up before the co. went out of business. Be sure and include a note to your Mom about "warnings".

@Drythe   I don't get as deep a cleanse of pores w/ other gadgets. Because I do use Retin A and an acid in the mornings, I use my Clarisonic on alternate nights. Too much exfoliation can cause irritation/redness.

I will.  Thanks.  On second thought, since she's 83, has rosacea and uses Retin A, I think I'll show it to her first and ask if it's something she thinks she'd like to have.
