Not going to be a popular reply, but not keen on Hot and Flashy...Angie. She may be closer to our age, but has had a lot of procedures and not really a true picture of how products would look on us. She's now put herself in the younger youtubers group, as far as makeup/skincare recommendations for me.

@Shanus - I have seen one or two, but I don't "follow" anyone on YouTube. I have enough trouble finding time as it is!

But if I did want to follow anyone, can you recommend someone? Smiley Happy

Thanks @Shanus! I will check them out!

BTW I used your recommendation from the other thread for my eyes. Instead of using a brownish shade to "make" a crease I've been using a peach tone a little deeper than my own color. It looks a lot better, especially for summer!

Laura's company just came out with 3 colors she named after coffee that would be perfect for this. There is one color I thought about ordering, but I've got so many! I might cave if they have a sale!

Thanks again for your help- and for the advice you will continue to give us!  Smiley Happy

I agree that Allie is very pleasant to watch Smiley Happy  I watch several.  It would be hard to name a favorite because so many of them excel or specialize in certain applications and styles but Mel Thompson would be the first YTer that would pop in my mind if someone asked.

I saw something like this several months ago at Walmart.  It was pink and from what I could tell, not as sturdy.  I checked my WM before ordering this one but it was no longer listed.

@beach-mom I also got an email from Laura Geller's website re the new shadows.  One is a cream shadow and one is a powder.  Not exactly sure how I'd wear them though.

@Shanus

I know what does and doesn't look good on me, I know what I do and don't care for and can enjoy watching makeup channels even if I'm not going to do exactly what they show.  For instance, I LOVE watching Angelica Nyqvist (and also her VLOGS) but I'm not quiiite daring enough to wear most of her looks Smiley Happy   Also I look younger than my age and have a "young at heart" persona which I feel allows me a bit more freedom with my makeup...imo. I do get plenty of compliments on my makeup tho.   But the BIGGEST  boost  in my makeup looks no matter how out there (fun) or conservative it is, is my skincare routine.  One more shoutout to James Welsh for turning my complexion from "meh" to fab!

@beach-mom   You're welcome. Let le know if I got the names for the youtubers wrong...I'll check and re-post. Yes, the crease shades should never be overwhelming...unless you're really dressed up and want to depend it a bit. I prefer a natural look and a peach/skin tone shade does the trick.

I have had one of those for years...got it at one of of the Nordstrom anniversary sales.  Fabulous product.  I also bought a much smaller one that is even more handy.

@Wsmom   I've seen other incarnations of this "cleaner". They all are similar....silicone type material that you lay in the sink to rub your brushes on to clean them. I've never used them because i find they're rougher on the brush than just using your hands to get the the brushes clean.  I never let mine get that dirty that they would need more than a swish in a cleanser and then rinsed (bristles only).
