My hair always looks nice but it lacks lustre. I would like to add some shine to it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Let me know if you find out! I have wavy/curly hair, which generally prefers frizz to shine. I've used some shine sprays that look great for a bit, but then my hair just absorbs the product and loses the shine. Adding more makes it look greasy, not shiny.

Of all the products I've used, WEN mousse gave me the glossiest finish. It didn't give me the curl definition I wanted and I gave it up, but I did love that gloss.

I've gone to Sally Beauty Supply Store and purchased Clairol Radiance Colorgloss (demi-permanent) in "Clear".  They do have it also for hair color -- light blonde to black.  The "Clear" gave my hair shine and gloss.  It evidently washed out about 24 shampoos

When I stopped coloring my hair, I asked my hairdresser for a Glazing treatment. It lasts for awhile and my hair is very shiny now......I get compliments in fact.

I use a shine spray after I finish styling.  Biosilk has a really nice one called 'Shine On". Just a quick spritz and you have shine all day.  Not sticky either.  Hope this helps!

I feel your pain, @ChynnaBlue. And I have an especially hard time because I don't use any hair products with silicone, which is a staple in shine sprays. Plus I have light brown hair -- the lighter the hair, the less shine.

As another poster mentioned, glazes do temporarily help. My stylist applies one after doing my roots. It lasts maybe three weeks.

I do have a couple styling products geared toward curly hair that do seem to add a bit of shine. They're both in the Curl Junkie line -- Curls in a Bottle primarily, but I think that their Coffee Coco Curl Creme Lite helps also. I use one or the other along with a gel.

Shawn raves about a Nick Chavez Starlit shine spray, but I'm not a fan .... it DOES make your hair shiny, but I'm an Unscented nut, and this has a scent.  That's my only complaint about it.

Argan oil helps some. You can add a drop or 2 to your conditioner or to your wet hair.

I just dyed my hair yesterday. I used Nice & Easy Colorseal Conditoner in the blue tube afterwards. It makes my hair soft, shiny & no frizz.

I have white hair and it tends toward being very shiny. I think white hair is naturally shiny but also, every evening I put 3 drops of argon oil on my face then I rub whatever is left on my hands through my hair. In the morning I wash my hair and blow it dry and it comes out pretty and shiny. Since i don't curl , perm , dye or bleach my hair I think just being healthy is a huge part of looking nice.

@Tinkrbl44 I tried that a long time ago. The shine lasted for me about 15 minutes, then it was gone! I didn't care for the scent either...I find that to be a problem for me with NC products.
