I happily learned from this sub-forum that shaving was superior, and it is! Smile

I use a men's sensitive manual razor (for a closer shave) and shave two ways:

* once or twice weekly on wet skin, with a shaving cream (closer shave)

* in-between those shaves on dry skin, with gentler pressure

...

Would you mind telling me the brand of sensitive razor you use?

I too saw the article in the Daily Mail about women shaving their face daily. It said men's facial skin ages better than women's and shaving daily may have something to do with it. Very interesting! Maybe we should start...

I read about shaving here and tried it on my peach fuzz. I bought an electric razor at TJMaxx for $7.99. I do it every once and a while, no set schedule. No regrets.

I used to get my upper lip and eyebrows waxed and finally quit and use a razor now.

I wish i never would have waxed. I feel like it damaged my skin.

using a razor has been so much better for me.

Peach fuzz uggghhhh...!!!

Thanks for that video. I watched part of it. What are those little shavers that she uses called? She never says. I've seen them on HSN but can't remember what they're called. Can you find them at Ulta? I've got peach fuzz on the sides of my face exactly like she does. It really bothers me with my make-up.

Edited to say that I found them on Amazon, but is there a particular brand that's better than the others?

Hi - I Get the razors on Amazon - I couldn't figure out how to get the link here, but they I typed in lady's brow razors. The ones I get are from OTC I think? I recommend the size shown in video with the longer head. I tried a smaller version and it is not as precise and too dangerous - would not use it around my brow or eye - the longer ones are better. Also I use it and throw it away and grab a new one each time I do this to ensure that it is clean and sterile. I would never use one twice. You have to be careful but once you get the hand it really does the trick. Peach fuzz is a pet peeve! The video is from a youtube beauy blogger, Tammy. Her channel is uppiesbeads59 and she is in the beauty business and her focus is anti-aging. I've learned alot from her. Hope you can check out some of her other videos. Take care.

I just read on Flipboard where The Guardian addressed the article by Daily Mail and said shaving Is NOT a good idea. I tried to copy and paste unsuccessfully but if you google ""the guardian shaving"" it's the first thing that comes up.

Of course. 8)

Depending on my budget at the time, I use mens':

*Schick Quattro Titanium Sensitive Disposable Razors

*Gillette Mach 3 Sensitive Disposable Razors

*Schick Extreme 3 Sensitive Disposable Razors

*Bic Men's Comfort 3 Sensitive Disposable Razors

*Schick ST2 Sensitive Disposable Razors

They go from 5 blades down to 2, and come in a multi-pack.

Do you ladies use an electric razor or disposable?

I've used electric, razors that need cartridges (men's and women's), and disposable (men's and women's). I don't like the men's electric razors, but I used to like men's cartridge and disposable razors because they were always less expensive than the women's versions.

My favorite electric was a Remington for women (it broke last year) that you could use in the shower. They change their line every few years, so the one I had isn't available now.

My favorite disposable is the Bic Soleil for women and my favorite cartridge razor is the Gillette Mach 3. Keep in mind that some razors, like the Gillette Venus or Schick Intuition, may be better for legs but they're too wide for the upper lip.

Thank you.
