Serum Prep

I'm curious about Serum Prep. I've read that some of you feel it's an unsung hero. I've sampled both the Neuropeptide Activator and the Intensive Pore Minimizer, which are also liquid toner-type products.

Do you see immediate benefits with Serum Prep? Is it a liquid consistency like a toner? How is the scent/aroma/odor? Neuropeptide Activator was a tough one to get past. Intensive Pore Minimizer is very nice, but I may put it aside until the humidity returns.
