I tried some of the SSC skincare products but didn't find them to be as effective as other products/brands that I use. The Glycolic cleanser was an exception, but I only purchased it when it was on special pricing which was infrequently.
How desperate is Jennifer/SSC or any vendor to accept compensation from Evine as a stock payment? No cash??? Maybe Evine is also trying to force existing vendors to accept similar contracts.
Would Isomers and Skinn accept it? They have both built a strong customer base for themselves and Evine. I would purchase directly from them, no hesitation. Also, I would not compare SSC to Isomers or Skinn, certainly not as replacements for me.
It's pure speculation to suggest D is upset about SSC or planning to leave Evine - I won't waste my time or energy. For those that are SSC fans/customers, I hope the Evine partnership serves you well. Happy Holidays!

So many assume that these changes are the decision of Serious Skin Care or other companies. We do not know any of the details but it seemed that HSN/QVC managment had make a decision to get rid of SSC. They had drastically scaled back how much they were buying and had cut the hours SSC appears and SSC was on muc less frequently.
Then because there was a contract with the power mostly with HSN/QVC. Part of the contract obviously specificfied that SSC could not go to a direct competitor for a certain period of time, not could they say anything about their intentions during the time.

@CHEX and I think that's exactly why SSC hasn't talked specifics about their new venture. I saw posted (maybe facebook?) that they can go into details after Jan 1.

@Mistic wrote:I have used her Retinol before, and it was OK with my Skin, but all her Vitamin C really burns my skin. I would purchase a nice Retinol kit, but NOT with Evine's $6.99 shipping charges, and also the Free Shipping only IF you spend $75, and use OUR Card. Don't want their card, or their high S&H if I don't spend enough...
JMO - Not the way to run a business. I can't be the only one who refuses to follow along.
I have bought less and less from Evine due to their shipping. I also don't want their credit card just to save on shipping. They haven't had many incentives lately for their loyal customers. In the past they would offer coupons during Dimitri's anniversary shows and holiday shows. It's been ages since they have done that.

I received a 20% off code from Evine good till end of year. But, now that Evine and HSN have joined the ranks of charging tax, I dont order as much.

My opinion only. But I think the QVC/HSN merger buyout whatever you want to call it was a bad idea. They were 2 different channels catering to vastly different consumers. I felt QVC to be more of a higher end. Not a Nordstrom, but a Macys. I find HSN to be much lower end, like a Walmart and never shopped there. Now, I think QVC has dumbed it down too. I'm paying off my Q card in January and I'm done with them. One last bill I have to pay each month I guess.

Evine has opened a studio in Los Angeles. Since Jennifer lives in LA that might have factored in her decission. Her SSC shows are now coming from LA.
