Sephora Returns Question

Has anyone returned something to Sephora without the original receipt? I checked their website but couldn't find anything about it. I bought PTR's moisturizer with SPF about a month ago but just started using it this week. It's the only thing new I've done to my face and yesterday I woke up with two lovely, painful cystic pimples. I haven't had that happen since I was in my teens. It's supposed to be oil-free, but my face is really shiny until I put on a primer and I wait at least 10 minutes in between. I bought it at one of their stores and would be returning it to the same place. I won't bother trying if I'm only going to get shot down.
