Re: Self tanner that doesn't turn orange?

[ Edited ]

I've tried them all I think since I stopped tanning. I have too many age spots and sun damage to even self tan anymore. My current favorites are/were Bondi Sands and Dolce Glow. I liked Josie Maran's and San Tropez but I just can't use them any more. This year I'm going to use the gradual tanning lotion that just gives you a hint of color. Some have turned orange but I think it might depend on your particular skin maybe. I bought Bondi Sands from the Q but Walmart sells it. I did just buy a small bottle of tanning drops from Walmart called Tanned AF that you can add to your own lotion. It's good too but I can only use a couple drops because I don't  want to get too dark.

MineTan doesn't turn orange. They contain color-correcting formulations to counteract any orange or yellow undertones. If you go to their website there is a 'shade finder' located at the top of the page. That helped me find my perfect tan color. Qvc also sells MineTan. Be sure and buy the MT mitt b/c it really does make a difference on how well it turns out.

@SilleeMee  Never heard of it, I will check it out.

Some mentioned Jergens here but the smell is just to much for daily use for me, I've tried that and just don't care for it. Plus, sticky!

my two favorites are TAN LUXE and ISLE OF PARADISE. both work very well with my olive skintone. no horrible smells and easy to mix into your favorite moisturizer or body creams.

@SandGirl

MineTan has a pleasant smell. Not overwhelming and doesn't linger.

@SilleeMee  They have a few, just curious which one are you using and having good luck with?

I think you'd be fine with the Coconut Water Foam. It's pretty much a universal shade. If you are naturally more tan in skin color, then try the Violet which is slighter darker than the Coconut. Either one will be fine.

Another vote for Jergens. I have the light shade but think I'll get the darker one more towards the beginning of summer.
