So I finally tried the Nakery self tanner - I only tried it on my lower legs. Was easy to apply. I thought after a few minutes my legs look dry so I quickly added some moisturizer over it, which I'm guessing is probably the opposite of how I should do it. Anyway ..... I developed some nice color, a little uneven maybe but I think that was my application issue. So, I do kind of like it and my legs looks better with a little color however I am very confused that it didn't seen to cover any of my imperfections. How could that be? I still have light spots and some dark spots and can see a few spider veins clearly. (I don't know why I have all that going on but I do).
So, question: is that weird that it didn't cover any of the imperfections? My legs are now a better color - so it's a better look, but nothing seems blurred or less than it really is.
Also, as a plus I don't detect any scent.
Just a few minutes ago, the tarte self tanner was on air - brazilliance. I am tempted to try it now as the vendor stated that it covers imperfections! Does it? Has anyone tried this tanner? Please post your review.
Exactly what product did you use, @moonandthestars, the Multivitamin Tanning Serum or In the Buff Perfect & Blur Body Bronzer?
Since it's not clear, here are some possibilities -
- Did you exfoliate first? That's usually recommended with self tanners.
- Did you use enough product?
- If you used the In the In the Buff Perfect & Blur product, that isn't a self tanner. It's an instant bronzing product that will wash off in the shower.
- Adding moisturizer over the top of the In the Buff Perfect & Blur may have compromised the product, causing the coverage to break up in certain areas.
The Tarte product is entirely different than the In the Buff Perfect & Blur. It will stain the skin upon application but takes a few hours to fully develop. It is also buildable and wears off over time.
