Summer is approaching! What is your favorite Self-Tanner? Sold on QVC? Sold in stores like Target/CVS?

I have used Bare Escentuals Faux Tan (QVC) with good results.

Hands down--St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse.
Unlike the directions which say to apply at night, I apply in the morning after my shower--after exfoliating and moisturing my skin. Sometimes I re-apply for a darker color. I wear all day--little to no rub-off, no smell. Beautiful, natural-looking, non orange color.
The product used to come with the mitt (now sold separately). The directions now say to spray it on your body and blend with mitt. DON"T DO THAT! Put mousse ON MITT, and apply. You'll have much better control that way.
Note: QVC doesn't appear to carry the bronzing mousse anymore. What they do have is called a "spray."

I agree with @spent2much in that the BE faux tan lotion is great! My friend loves the St. Tropez bronzing mousse, and bought it recently at Ulta. For a less pricey option, Jergens isn't bad, either. I think the self-tanners are generally much better than when they first came out.

St Trpoez, the mousse...I have used it for years! I also apply in morning, and use Josie's body butter (after it dry's)
I am SO disappointed the Q does not carry it...I did find one the other night on a ODO price and was able to get it..I see they carry another brand now that will be the TSV on March 22nd...
I guess I will have to check Ulta after I use this one up, I don't ever not want to use my St Tropez, (please bring the 13.5oz size back with the 2 mitts QVC)...

I've tried a lot and my favorite is Clinique self tanner. It provides good color and is fragrance free which is great for me because I'm really sensitive to heavy fragrances. If you're not sensitive to fragrance there are lots of good ones at the drugstore. I like Suave, Jergens, L'oreal, and Banana Boat. They all had good color I just couldn't take the fragrance because of my allergies.

Maybe 10 or 11 years ago my daughter owned a tanning salon. After she sold it she used Neutrogena.

I have bought every product (like this) QVC and HSN offers. Nothing I think works as well as this. I like it because you can use it gradually.
Here's a hint. You know those sponges you buy that takes marks off of a wall (the white ones?). Use those in the shower if any of the tanners cause streaks around the toes, hands, etc. It will even it out and works great!

I've used Clarins and BE in the past with very good results but my favorite in recent years is also the St. Tropez bronzing mousse. I tried vita-liberata but it didn't have very good color development on me at all, even after several applications so I went back to the St. Tropez. I just received the Josie Maran bronzing oil/mitt but haven't tried it yet. I'm anxious to see how it works! Unfortunately I've never had one from the drug store brands that I liked - ended up throwing them out.

The BE tanner turned orange on me, even though they said it would not. Imagine my joy at going to work and having a customer ask about my fake tanner (oh no, she can tell it's fake) and then a couple hours later a very blunt coworker asked if carrot was the look I was going for. Ugh I could not scub that off fast enough.
Paulas choice makes a nice, realistic looking mousse that I used all last year

There is no drugstore brand I would use. Wasted money trying most of them and way too fake looking! St Tropez mousse was one of the best for me but the best and most natural is Tan Towel. There is a learning curve to most. I don't apply more than one coat to get a deep tan as that would just look too fake on me.
