Seeking Reviews for Suzanne Somers Organic Line

I see that she has upcoming shows and would appreciate any reviews/thoughts about her organic skin care products. (I know a few have gluten, which I will need to avoid.) I'm feeling more inclined to apply organic products to my skin than the chemical laden ones. The trick is finding some that actually deliver nice results. I'm a seeker.{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Re: Seeking Reviews for Suzanne Somers Organic Line

I purchased her items when they first came out and was not impressed. I used to believe everything she said about aging, but she doesn't seem to take her own advice and age gracefully. Since the products didn't do anything for me, I knew reordered. I prefer Skinn cosmetics and have been using Dimitri's products for over 5 years now with great results at reasonable prices. I have come to the conclusion that there's no "miracle" cream. What works on one, doesn't necessarily work on another. Hope this helps.

I tried the shampoo and one of the smoothing serums and didn't reorder. I've used Pureology and other salon type products for years and have good results.

I like SS and I think much her line gets good reviews at ShopHQ. Admittedly, I probably should have given it more time, but did not care to reorder.

Right now, I have a mix of Isomers and Skinn and continue to buy a variety of salon hair care products.

Re: Seeking Reviews for Suzanne Somers Organic Line

Thanks for the replies so far. Post more please.

I called Suzanne's company and a super nice rep told me everything is gluten free. She said Suzanne's husband has a problem with gluten so she's intentional about making sure the products are clean. So, that's one hurdle crossed.

Witchy, I adore Dimitri and many of his offerings like so many of you. Most of his products have gluten, so I've been forced to try and find something else. I do still use the Dermapeel and cleansers and have for years.

I agree. Her cleanser and toner are great, as is her body lotion. I'm not a fan of her eye cream, moisturizer or other treatment products though.

Thanks so much for the input so far. I have my eye on a kit that has the cleanser, toner, serum, moistuizer etc; I read reviews which seemed pretty good considering our skin is unique in what it likes. Please keep sharing your thoughts.

Re: Seeking Reviews for Suzanne Somers Organic Line

I love her line of skin care and makeup. Her skincare is the only line i will use since March of 2014. I am on auto delivery for her biggest kit and I wont even try anything else because i am so pleased. i constantly get compliments on my skin. My younger sisters are wanting what i use!my reason for choosing suzanne organics is due to the fact that EVERYTHING breaks out my skin or just stops working after a while and does nothing. i really feel like my skin just keeps looking better and better. i need less makeup now. also i was very happy to eliminate chemicals as much as possible. i really feel like its a positive effect on my self, anyway. Go ahead and try it, you can always return it to shop hq if you dont like it. Good Luck! I cant wait to see what TSV will be on Tuesday, i know ill be watching and purchasing!

Re: Seeking Reviews for Suzanne Somers Organic Line

Lally, I enthusiastically recommend her organic line of skincare and makeup ... only thing is the foundation doesn't have enough coverage for me for some occasions, so I use Skinn plasma foundation at those times. I am very fair and order her lightest shade which is a perfect match. I have sensitive skin and am prone to milia especially on my forehead. I do not get milia or breakouts with Suzanne's products.

I really like Suzanne's cleanser, "calming" spray, moisturizer, and peach exfoliator (I got the 4-piece kit). My hair responds very nicely to her shampoo and conditioner, and sometimes I use the styling gel. I also like her eye cream (and the eye primer is fab), eye shadow kit (the matte one), Berry Pop lipstick and blush. I have her bronzer but I don't use it because I'm very fair with "winter" coloring and I think it would look better on a darker complexion.

This visit I want to try the body creams, hand wash and lotion, and if she has a product I can use in my bath water -- maybe a body wash that creates some bubbles? I'll look.

Just to show what a fan I am (I still have lots of items from when she was on HSN), I grabbed a 3-way poncho at Walgreen's and I love it! But don't let your husband wash it and put it in the dryer. It says not to put in the dryer, but yep he did and now it's not as smooth as when I washed it and followed the directions! (sigh) I will grab another -- I think it was $19.99.

Oh, and her brushes are wonderful. If you become a big fan, good to know that she sometimes has good deals on her website.

Thank you so much for taking time to give such a detailed review. The fact that you don't plateau using the products got my attention. That happens to me with every product I use, except Algenist. Still, I want to move toward organic and you've just helped validate that great results can come from a more nature based approach. Keep gathering compliments. Smiley Happy
